3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black and opaque with a thin head. Smells like bourbon, coffee, hazelnut, French vanilla, and roasted malts. Smooth and drinkable. Just a little creamy. Kind of sweet with a good roasted malt bitterness in the finish. Really not bad at all.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Moderate malt and hop aromas of toasted and resin, light earth for the yeast, with cola and sour milk in the baqckground. Head is large, creamy with larger bubbles, light brown with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is semi-clear black. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, tart and acidic, and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, a little slick with a lively carbonation. A little weak in flavor, but this Sweet Stout has some great aspects to it.

Draft at Corner Cafe. Pours a black with a thick foamy long lasting creamy head. Nice Lacing. Aroma is rich milky chocolate, some light vanilla and woody notes. Quite full bodied, this has more body than alot of imperial stouts. Bourbon is superbly integrated. Not overpowering but it gives just a kiss of the flavor. The oaky woody notes as well are very well integrated. Matt told me this was aged on oak for 3 weeks. The body and flavor make this the best sweet stout I have ever had. Worth making a trip for if you live in Florida. While you are there get his IPA as thats a good one too.

Draft... This beer rocks!... Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is a toasted swirl of chocolate, vanilla, oak and sourmash. Medium to full-bodied with a silken mouthfeel and mild carbonation. The flavor, once at room temperature, is suggestive of a moderately sweet cappuccino with rich notes of toasted oak and chocolate accompanied by a subtle, pleasant bourbon essence. Chocolaty, woody finish with lingering vanilla and a kiss of bourbon. Itís not overdone and itís not overblown. Very drinkable. One of the very best sweet stouts Iíve ever tasted. Itís important to let this one warm up 15į- 20į before sticking your nose in the glass or taking a sip. Another super solid effort by Matt!
