Dark brown with a nice head. Very well balanced flavour and aroma. Fresh fruit, nice sweet chocolate accent. Good body. Clean finish, not sticky.

At brewpub. Opaque brown with thick foamy tan head and lots of lacing. Lovely bouquet of raspberries and cocoa powder, nice. Creamy body. Palate continues to have lots of cocoa powder with light dusting of raspberry and confectioner sugar. Like a chocolate-raspberry torte in a glass. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft... Pitch black with a mid-sized, frothy, beige head. Decent retention. The aroma is all about chocolaty, raspberry, espresso goodness. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with tingly carbonation. Well-balanced. Lots of roasted notes – chocolate and espresso. Subtle raspberry perfection. Roasted, lightly bitter finish. Very reminiscent of the Market Cross Pub Porter. Super nice!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the Cafe. Their current special, nose is tons of coffee and a little chocolate and a light whiff of raspberry. Very light on the fruit. Pours mostly black with a big fluffy head. Taste is mostly roasty goodness with some chewy chocolate malts, well balanced with a heavy mouthfeel. This may be a baltic porter. The raspberry comes in at the very end but its barely there which is a good thing I think. Very good.
