2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 drpimento (1750) - La Crosse, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Had about a 7 oz glass of this at the Corner Pub a couple of weeks ago. Served with an off-white head that lasted and some lace. Color was a clear red amber. Aroma was malty, a bare hint of roastiness and no hop. Flavor was about the same. Body was ok but a little light in carbonation. Ok finish too. Not bad, nothing special.

Thanks to skyview. Malty nose with caramel hints and some malty sweetness. More sweet malt in the body with a faint toasted character.

(growler, thanks Skyview) Light copper pour with a white head. Aroma strong of sweet corn and grain. Flavor is not the greatest slight caramel, and a fairly nice grainy finish. Very low carbonation, and quite watery.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing this growler. This beer was a huge suprise. Great sweet amlt and a light roastiness accompany a light floral hoppiness. Nice balanced sweetnees to accent the roasy character. A nice light floral hoppiness finishes this beer very nicely. Very suprising.

[Growler, thanks Skyview] Pours hazy dark amber with a small white head. Quite a sweet smell--a lot of malt and a small amount of hops. The Flavor is predominantly malty also. Pretty good finish with a lot of grain in it. Very thin. Below average.

Thanks Skyview. Copper color with a little foam, and the appearnace is probably the best quality. Cardboard aroma. Light malt in the flavor with some chalk. Low carbonation.

Sampled on draught at the Corner Pub in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light brownish amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Nice lacing on the dissolve. Aroma is more malty than hoppy. Scents picked up were caramel malt, roasted nuts and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a sweet caramel malt flavor. Finish is slightly watery but could taste more of the malt character than any bitterness.

Cloudy amber with a smaller off white head. Aroma of dry malt, corn and sorghum. Flavors of sweet malt, wheat and nuts. Reminds me a bit of the Wolnzacher without the body. Acidty and CO2 are a bit harsh on the tongue.
