2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, USA - SEP 6, 2005
Translucent yellow-gold in color with a solid, icy, thin white head. Sweet malts in the aroma, joining potatoes, hazelnuts, pumpernickel and baguette yeast. First flavor impression: watery. Moments later: pecans. It goes without saying that the most admirable flavor traits manifest in the finish. Somewhat chalky and palate stinging with a harsh lemon acidity. Part of me wants to welcome this beer. The other 90 percent won’t hear of it.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 drpimento (1750) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Had about a 7 oz glass of this a couple of weeks ago at the Corner Pub. Wasn’t nearly as good as the Cream Ale. Served with a small, tan head that quickly settled out and a bit of lace. Color was clear amber/red. Aroma was a little roasty mild malt. Flavor was the same and some caramel with a bit of hop. Body was watery and had sharp carbonation. Short finish. Forgettable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 25, 2007
On draught at the Corner Pub in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a thick white creamy head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind an excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrusy hops and a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonated with a semi-sweet flavor of caramel malt and some citrus hops. Finish is semi-sweet a slight biscuity aftertaste with a very light metalic bitterness.

Again... how can the "Red" be gold in color? Aroma of caramel. The taste turns sour, but at least retains the halfway decent caramel.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - APR 12, 2004
Amber to bronze in color. Smaller beige head. Hopsack, mild malt and an english yeast aroma. Lightly sweet malt flavors coupled with vanilla, floral hops, and balanced with a dry nuttiness and a sharp hops acidity. The hops acidity in the end does make this one feel a bit thinner. Lingering bitterness.
