fiver29 (325), Strongsville, Ohio, USA May 31, 2008 Growler pours a hazy amber color with off white head. Has aroma of clove and banana like flavors. Has a medium mouthfeel with a nice amount of carbonation. Taste is very strong banana clove blend with a smooth finish on a bready wheat side. Overall this is a standard german style wheat. It reminds me more of the southern german styles.
bgburdman9 (722), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 28, 2008 On tap at courtside during ohio brew week. Very similar to the trippel. Nothing special really going on but a drinkable wheat beer with some banana and spice going on here. brentfeesh (937), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Jul 21, 2008 Enjoyed t the brewery. Hazy orange with no head. The aroma is pleasant and musty with bread, Belgian candy and a touch of banana. Nice flavor. The Hefe yeast is not over done leaving a well balanced flavor that has bread, banana and a touch of spice. Well carbonated medium body. A very easy drinking hefe. I enjoyed it as did the beer newbee I was with. Dogbrick (2260), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 20, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing. Aroma of wheat and bananas, plus a pinch of spice. Medium, clean body with flavors of fruit and wheat along with some yeast and spices. The finish is smooth and fruity with a short wheaty aftertaste. Average overall. Subversive (11), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 25, 2007 Draft w/ExSpectator. Unfiltered with a presence of cloves and banana (common). Strong wheat aftertaste-- good overall.
