Enjoyed t the brewery. Hazy orange with no head. The aroma is pleasant and musty with bread, Belgian candy and a touch of banana. Nice flavor. The Hefe yeast is not over done leaving a well balanced flavor that has bread, banana and a touch of spice. Well carbonated medium body. A very easy drinking hefe. I enjoyed it as did the beer newbee I was with.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing. Aroma of wheat and bananas, plus a pinch of spice. Medium, clean body with flavors of fruit and wheat along with some yeast and spices. The finish is smooth and fruity with a short wheaty aftertaste. Average overall.

Growler pours a hazy amber color with off white head. Has aroma of clove and banana like flavors. Has a medium mouthfeel with a nice amount of carbonation. Taste is very strong banana clove blend with a smooth finish on a bready wheat side. Overall this is a standard german style wheat. It reminds me more of the southern german styles.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - JUL 1, 2007
This beer is a cloudy gold with a longlasting head. There’s a strong wheatiness in the flavor and aroma backed up with a good fruitiness from the yeast and a bit of hop bitterness in the back.
