Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 20, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a wispy bone white head that disappears quickly. Stringy lacing. Mildly hoppy aroma with notes of corn and malt. Light-bodied with light grassy hops and grainy malt flavors. The finish is mildly bitter hops and the aftertaste does not last long. Overall this is unmemorable. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 12, 2007 Pale and transparent polished brass in color with a fluffy white foam cap on top. Paprika, sandstones and buttery sourdough crust - along with a garden bite - sneak up the nose. Some fabric sheets come in on the backend. Larger flavor profile than expected, laying in with dinner rolls soaked in golden sweet whole kernel corn juice. Sand goes over light grahams, and margarine slips over sourdough. Herbaceous honeysuckle and marigolds drum in the distance. Supportive carbonation and hard to seriously fault, finishing out with a sweet cream cornbread outtake. RCL (964), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Nov 27, 2006 Very grainy with very light hops. Better than the macros but nothing to get excited about. argo0 (6018), Washington DC, USA May 29, 2006 Clear straw body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some grain. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some apple, light grain, low bitterness. Light body, some crispness. bkelley68 (468), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Aug 11, 2005 Golden pour with a white head. Grainy malts and some noble hop aromas. Clean and smooth. Much like other contiental pilsners I’ve had, just much fresher.
