A quite nice IPA +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a medium amber color with a medium sized creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was tangy orange and pine with notes of sugar and caramel. The flavor was very bitter yet had an underlying sweetness with intense pine an resin and moderate caramel. The finish was long with sweet pine and resin. The beer really coats the tongue. Moderately full bodied. Very nice.

Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate resin hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where exceeded.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, orange-gold colored body with a thin, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is citrusy grapefruits with some light resins and pines along with some florals. Lightly sweetened crystal malt in the background as well. Flavor is similar. Juicier citruses up front with a good amount of grapefruits and a few oranges. Light resiny pines and florals with a touch of earth. A light crystal and a hint of caramel malt as the resins grow just a touch into the finish where this ends dry with a medium-light, piney and earthy bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light, smooth body and a light carbonation. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA. Nice citrusy hopping with a balanced bitterness and light malt sweetness. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

Pours slightly orange with a thin white head. Nice floral quality to the nose. A bit of pine sol on the tongue without the bitterness. I was hoping this one would pack a bit more of a punch.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Spot on and serviceable, not as promising as it sounds, seven hop varieties and all. Lacey. Little aroma. Big bitterness at 82 IBU. Their pale was more enjoyable.

David slays Goliath!!!! Blind tasting, Great Lakes Brewing News IPA Challenge 2010. Cant believe this beat Bells Two Hearted. They caught bells ona bad day, a rather flat listless offering from LB> Now onto the upset. Deeper copper pour, very light bodied, harsh weedy bitterness, light hop burn on the palate. The lesser of two evils this day, still shocked

Bottle sampled at Noog Four-0 5/31/08: Pours a transparent bright golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet lightly toasty pale caramel malt with a big grapefruity hop balance. Body starts with good, fairly full pale malty sweetness and nice fresh assertive grapefruity resiny hop flavor. Nicely balanced and enjoyable.
