1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Martinus (656) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 9, 2012
Pale golden colour, thin white head. Smell of sweet malts, toast and biscuit. Flavour rather sweet, quite thin. Not too bad on a hot summer night with a wedge of lime in the neck. Stil.. Meh.

Bottle labled as Corona Familiar.
The brown bottle does little to help the skunky aroma and flavor. It cracks me up that in Mexico they think this is piss but dbags all over America think it’s delicious. Yuck.

I have a love and hate relationship with this "beer", or drink rather. With a piece of lime this is a nice drink when you don’t feel like starting with a more typical beer, or too hot for many of the stronger more flavorful ales.

Coronita is the name in Spain. Basic, and you know what you drink, the perfect one to start drinking beer

amber/yellow colour with white froth. aroma is quite weak (served freezing cold). taste is slightly citrus, sweet, very carbonated. quite refreshing, and probably benefits from a lime, but average at best.

Obviously this isn’t a "real" beer. But... Some times I do enjoy it. Last night it was either Corona, Miller Lite, or a couple generic crappy beers that I would simply rather go dry than drink. Yes, I put a lime in it, because it helps. I actually enjoy the skunk on it. It’s like the retarded Mexican cousin to Grolsh. And it was free, so I won’t complain.
It has a nice little fizz on the palate, and is refreshing if you’re just looking for a hop soda. But you can certainly find better beers for the price.

This is no special beer in itself. However, when adding a lime to this beer it becomes a refreshing beverage that reminds me of better times sitting on the beach and enjoying vacation in the islands where top quality beer is not available and the weather is too hot for many of the stronger more flavorful ales anyhow.
