Corona Extra is the number-one selling beer in Mexico and the leading export brand from Mexico. This pilsener type beer was first brewed in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo, located in Mexico City.

I’ve had mexican beers that are worse, but this is by no means a huge improvement. If you put enough lime in it, maybe you can convert it to a sort of bitter margarita, until you find some beer.

Very mexican. Very bad. I think mexico looked (longingly) over the border, and saw all us gringo folk drinking horrid beers like bud, MGD and Milwakees Beast, and exclaimed, in that intellectual tone of theirs, ’eh vato, lets make some crap brew too, essay’. And thus began the toe to toe race to see who could produce the most horrid trendy beer. America is winning, but its still a very close race.

I vist the islands alot and I all ways enjoy corona on the sandy Beach just like the Ads. I think this Beer is one of the best ones out there has a Great Flavor even if you dont have a lime to add to it .

weak, watery, and smells bad. Anything that you have to add fruit to in order for it to taste good has problems. I use it to cook in my chili, but as a drinking beer it is well towards the bottom of the list.

Unless the commercials have sucked you in, there’s no reason to ever try this beer. Too many guys and girls took Spring Break in Mexico and made this beer an unpassing fad. It has nothing notable about it at all. When the juice of a lime makes your beer taste better, you’ve got bigger issues on your hands.

This isn’t a terrible beer, but by no means a good one. It tastes somewhat like a slightly more sophisticated Budweiser. I would prefer Bud over it though because it is cheaper. Whatever though this beer sucks.

Make sure to drink this cold. Difficult to drink by itself; it must be with a meal. It’s not all bad with Mexican food.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2007 We called it the ’gateway beer’ because even if one didn’t like beer, one would like Corona, and quickly move on to other beers. I have moved on, but it was my first, of course, and so I need to give it its due. Refreshing, light and dangerously drinkable. (6/3/7/5/13) Rerate (7/27/07): What the hell was I thinking? Pale yellow color, a thick, rapidly dissipating white bubbly head, stale nose of corn and sickly sweet hoppiness, drinkable but like all other pale lagers, this one is best reserved for when there’s not much else around.
