I've had more of this swill then i can remember.Yes i fell into the craze years back, but I'm feeling much better now.I remember the brew being the worst kind of beer imaginable the color was ok the head, well hard to say since you usually leave it in the bottle.aroma was mild and IMO some what skunky, the same goes for the flavor, but by some form of magic, add some lime and it changes into some kind of almost drinkable beer.yes i used to choke this stuff down at one time, and i laugh when i see late comers drink this stuff and say how great it is.How little they know.I believe this brew was solely concocted to boost the pockets of lime producers, and it had it's day.Time for it to say good-bye.

Mexican piss water. Golden in color and mildly refreshing on a hot day, like today. Otherwise, nothing to separate it from the ordinary.

A great summer beer. Nothing extraordinary - just refreshing on a hot summer day. I'm a lime guy though - even though it's such a controversy these days among beer purists.

Bottle. Golden color with a laced white head. A thin aroma with a touch of malt and flowers. The flavor is hard to find and it leaves a slight skunk at the finish.

Little skunky aroma. Pale yellow color, white head, few lace. No flavors (didn't add the lime), watery, short finish. Must be refreshing when you're in Mexico with 40' Celsius, but over here in Holland even in the sun it doesn't do it.

If a beer requires a lime to make it palatabl then its not a good sign. When the sun's blazing overhead I'll grab one only if the lime is there as well.

I shall be the 700th rater of Corona. Let me first qualify my rating by saying that the body in question was plucked from an icy tub, and was complimentary from my hotel, in Dallas. This was an essay in the evils of the clear bottle. Here in Dallas, I'm reckoning that the beer was fresher -- and it had none of the skunky quality that Corona has 900 miles to the east in Tallahassee -- just the Mexican-American Standard smell that say, Bohemia has. It did have a corn quality, but it was like sweetish hominy, rather than Fritos. The slice of lime definitely makes the difference. The appearance is rated highly for the painted bottle. When the label was first marketed in N. Florida ca. 1986, it was proudly emblazoned on tanktops all along Panama City Beach. Charitable appearance marks for savvy marketing, and for the ladies of my youth who wore those tank tops without brassieres.

Mexican night tonight. I now know why I also don't like this 'cuisine'. Sloppy, messy and unfilling. At least it wasn't skunky.

I really like this beer. It's a little skunky, but it goes down really well. I suggest a lime, definately... better than Budweiser for sure!

NEEDS a lime to make it tolerable. Nothing too exciting about this beer-- a good alternative to Bud Light in a pinch!
