32 oz brown bottle of Corona Familiar, and I’m drinking it out of the bottle. Seems like there is some debate as to whether or not this is the same as the regular Corona Extra in the clear bottles... I don’t have one handy to taste them side by side, but upon sampling I’ll wager they’re identical. Pours bright clear yellow with thin fizzy head. Aroma is only a faint hint of corn. Taste is thin, corny malt with an effervescent body and a vague hint of a hoppy bite on the finish. By most reasonable standards, this is a cheap, crummy beer even among light lagers and Mexican ones at that. Yet... on a hot day, with a slice of lime floating in it, this is undeniably refreshing. And very easy to take down several. One of life’s great mysteries???

Not the best out there, but is an ok substitute if its only bmc selection. Poors yellow with no head/lacing. Not as crisp as i would like.

Out of limes so I’m pouring this one in a pint for rating purposes. Pours very clear, golden yellow. Scent of corn and hay. Not a ton of taste, but certainly nothing offensive. Will be making a note to myself to pick up more limes.

I was drinking some Corona Extra while eating some fat-free re-fried beans and I’d wondered what I’d rated this beer. And then I found out that I’ve never rated it!!!! No way! No freaking way! The aroma is almost non-existent, as is it’s appearance: light yellow with little head. It’s a wimpy brew made of cheap ass corn and rice, which makes you wonder why it’s so gawd damned expensive. But.......! With a wedge of lime it is refreshing as all hell, and goes excellent with spicy food whether Mexican, Italian, or...whatever. Little serious flavor but an outstanding thirst quencher!

I actually kinda like a Corona + lime. Certainly has its place, and I'll choose this over BMC every time. Easily skunked, but when 1) it's reasonably fresh, 2) is properly limed, and 3) there isn't as better choice available, I'm not averse to downing a bottle or two. Not terrible.

From old notes when I was trying Mexican beers. Pours a weak yellow color. Not much aroma. Smells like corn? And the taste is very dull. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very light beer, pours clear yellow with a grainy/ water aroma. The taste is very mild and dull with a corn aftertaste.

Lys gyllen farge, uten skum,smaker malt, gress og vann. Et ekstremt kjedelig øl. Typisk sommerøl

Sold as ’Corona Familiar’ in a big fat 1qt bottle. I put a lime in it and drank it.
