1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Besides the light version of this beer, this might be the most watered down beer in the world. But if you say that you don’t enjoy a few of these with a lime in really hot weather, then your a liar.

I poured a 24oz can into a shaker glass. There was no clear freshness date. It cost $2.89 ($0.12 per ounce).
Appearance: Transparent pale gold hue with massive carbonation constantly visible. Pours to a small, bright white, soapy which manages to leave a surprising amount of lacing on the glass.
Smell: A general non-clean aroma, but nothing repulsive. Milled corn grits are noticeable.
Taste: Drinking Corona straight from the bottle with a lime wedge in the neck doesn’t give the drinker the true taste of the beer. All you really taste is beer-flavored lime juice. For the sake of this review I decided to try it from a can and pour it into a glass like every other beer. The result was surprisingly not terrible. The palette was more bland and boring than it was off-putting.
Upon my first swig, I was surprised to find a little bit of sweetness. Corona Extra doesn’t have the sharp tang sensation of corn like a lot of American macro adjunct lagers. It does have a bit of a yellow lollipop flavor, which I believe is an indication of oxidation. There is some corn syrup flavor as well, which might account for the sweet factor. It finishes rather weak with a watery sensation.
Drinkability: This might have been one of the most visibly effervescent beers I’ve ever seen, so I was surprised the mouthfeel to Corona Extra was rather tepid. It did go down smoothly, though, and there was little aftertaste to speak of. At only 4.6% ABV it’s a borderline light beer, which would also explain its mild palette.

Aroma is mostly corn. Yellow pour. Flavor is also mostly sweet corn. Thin body. Lots of co2. Not bad actually. Just nothing spectacular. Nice pleasant aftertaste and a little throat-tingle.

Bottle. While in college. Pours a frothy head when poured into your mouth. No aroma other than stale beer from the bar top. Tastes refreshing with the lime.

Pours a weak golden yellow. Only thing that gives this beer its taste and aroma is the lime.

Smell does not exist. Looks like nice though clear golden yellow. Taste is like watered down pee.

Refreshing, but other than as a break in the heat it is terrible. You can salvage it with some lime, to make it drinkable. Pretty bad.

Son. Of. A. Bitch. I total bought the Corona Familiar thinking it was something that I had not had. On the bright side I have never rated Corona, but there was probably a reason for that. Smell is corny, sweet malts with the taste resembling approximately the same. Kudos to Grupo Medelo for pulling a fast one on me with their fancy 32oz packaging. Never again ass wipes.

Looks ugly. Does not have any taste. By far one of the worst commercial beers.
