Shazbat (100), USA Feb 6, 2001 I’m embarrassed that I actually like this, but it _is_ very drinkable ice-cold in hot weather.
Underhook (93), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 Extra? Extra what? This is like Corona light, with more bad taste. Stay away... far, far away. urnamesucks (63), New York City, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 Mexican piss water. You don’t drink this beer you rent it. Lime or no lime it’s trash. If you’re not supposed to drink the water when you go to Mexico why pay to export Mexican flavored water? What a waste unless you want to get some young hotties wasted! Borresteijn (427), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Very popular amongst self-proclaimed trendy people in Holland. Very corny and watery lager, rather sweet, no real flavours. It doesn’t offend me (no skunky flavours), but I’d rather drink something else. m4rest88 (44), Beverly Hills, California, USA Aug 18, 2008 To top off my crappy mexican beer experience in Cabo San Lucas, I thought I would rate the arguably most famous Mexican beer! Pours with a Murky - clear yellow hue with a small white head that is mostly diminshing. The aroma is of grain, yeast, and some hops. I smell some light pineapple scent in it as well - not much though.
Flavor is extremely waterey, and a tad bit bitter on the way down.
Light on the palate with lively cabonation.
This was bottled as Corona Familar! Same waterey Corona - different alias! RunDWP (140), San Jose, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 Drank from a bottle. The faint whiff of skunkiness upon opening the bottle was not encouraging. The flavor was mostly water, some skunkiness, and if I concentrated really hard, a whisper of hops. Watery is good here, because if the flavors were more concentrated, they would be more offensive. There are plenty of other beers one can find at the local supermarket that I find far more refreshing at the beach.
