2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cirrhosis (932) - Edmonton, - JUN 8, 2009
Very light gold and a surprising one-inch cap was produced that had some good retention, it’s really not that bad looking of a beer. Skunk explosion erupted from the bottle when it was opened but seemed to die down a touch after sitting my glass for a while, lots of dark sour malts and rotten apple juice round out the rest of the aroma. On the first sip the first thing that comes to mind is egg yolk. This brew is very malty with no hops really show up until the beer warms up a bit and then they come across as moldy apples. Way too much carbonation for me it’s like trying to drink antacid pills, the beer seemed to finish with a sweet citrus to it. I truly under stand the need for the lemon wedge in this brew to give it some other flavor then the one it naturally has. But this was probably the best Corona I’ve ever had I guess this one was still relatively fresh compared to other times I’ve had it, over all it is very substandard but still drinkable only in an emergency situation

One of those beers you have to have in the right setting and it is a 10/10- summer by the beach in 35-40+ heat, with fresh, hot, spicy food eg mexican, with a wedge of lime. Other wise it is just another watery untasty, unsatisfying beer and if you have it in winter it just reminds you of those awesome summer days with a tasty mexican tortilla and that just makes you depressed.

Well, the only thing I like from Mexico is their fighters. This shit is awful, right there with MBL and Natural. If you need a lime with your beer you have issues.

There is no better beer to Mexican food. Ideally, when drinking from the bottle with a lime wedge on top. The taste has distinct elements of corn and a light hop flavor.

Pours a very pale yellow color. Smell is mild, a touch of corn. Taste is light, some corn and grains. Overall a very easy drinking beer, on the bland side,.

It’s nothing special. Clear golden look with no head. Look more than a cider than a beer. It’s crisp and clear but very watery.

A nice sweet pale lager enhanced with a fruity lime shoved in the bottle from the bartender.

Bottle (without lime) from the In House Bar in House of Fraser, Birmingham. Pours headless, clear and loudly fizzy. Very pale like watered down apple juice. Mild, cardboard hops aroma which turns out to be its best feature. Horrible mouthfeel - so very fizzy - and once the initial bubbles and accompanying stale hops taste have subsided there is simply nothing there. No taste. No point. Now I know why lime is so often added - to provide a modicum of flavour. Terrible, terrible beer.

Bottle at the local pub (who I won’t name as I don’t want to huirt the local economy). Waitress gave me an odd look when I asked for no lime. Yellow, lively carbonation, slight skunk in the aroma, and that was literally it. No hops to speak of, just quick, cheap yellow water. This was actually a step down from the Budweiser i had earlier.
