LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 25, 2007 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear very pale yellow color with a moderate fizzy alabaster head that is quickly diminished. Aroma is of light skunk, light grains and grass. Taste is of light grains, light citrus and grass. Extremely watery. It’s like tap water with a twist of corn and citrus. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 25, 2007 Bottle: Very light pale yellow with a white head that quickly fizzes away, smells like plastic and earth with some skunk and tastes that way too. Watery and very fizzy with a carbonation burn on the way down. A sad waste of water, but luckily hardly any malts or hops were destroyed in making this beer. Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico May 22, 2007 TAstes like nothing, probbly les bad than Corona Extra but still being a senseless beer. At least I got it. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 16, 2007 I was invited to a friend’s college graduation party with a greeting catch phrase, "Welcome! We have good beer here." Great, I visited the beverage center to find two beers. Corona and Diet Corona. "Right!" I said to myself in a John Cleese British accent. Diet Corona pours an urine golden yellow color with a small white head. Urrr, it was there a moment ago. Now it’s gone. Aroma is light popcorn, some enriched Wonder bread, and an aged road kill skonk after I drove past it three miles ago. Taste is a lilttle citrus and corn. Fnish is very watery and gritty. "Brewed with the highest quality ingredients?" What kind of ingredients I ask. It’s amazing how so many beer drinkers are brain-washed to even think this is beer. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA May 15, 2007 I think this is a little better then the full strength, but obviously not saying much. No aroma, looks like piss, but not too terrible with the lime and a couple of tacos. thefederalist (226), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA May 14, 2007 Bottle. I didn’t bother decanting. This beer is a golden pale urine yellow and makes huge detergent-like bubbles as you swig. There is a faint hop aroma, nothing offensive. The flavor is marked by overcarbonation, faint hop bitterness, and lots of nice corn ajunctness if there is such a word. Slightly salty and rather bland, but not terrible. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA May 12, 2007 Updated: Jun 24, 2007Drank out of the bottle (does anyone pour this into a glass?). Obviously didnt put enough lime in this one. This tasted much worse than any corona I’ve ever had. But thats probably because its ’light.’ Was at my house for a college graduation party for my cousin, and my gramps and two uncles both grabbed these, so i decided to have one too in solidarity. Big mistake. I even had half a grolwer of Selin’s Grove Phoenix the Kriek in the fridge which my aunt really loved when we tried some later. My uncles didnt seem too interested in my beer/brewing aspirations. Anyway, corona light sucks.
Re-rate: Never thought I would do this, but I am re-rating Corona Light. Had another bottle with the same uncles as last night and it was quite refreshing on a hot summers day. Not tasty (by craft beer standards), but far better than the swill I have rated above this. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA May 9, 2007 33 cl bottle, Fargo. What can you say. Stick a lime in it and drink a lot of ’em. (it got a 4 on flavor cuz I like lime a lot).
