1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SHIG (2530) - Osan, SOUTH KOREA - JUL 5, 2006
Golden amber with white bubbly head. Smell is a sweet skunky aroma. Bitter sour leaves the mouth dry and lemony.

12oz bottle. Clear yellow with a medium sudsy soap bubbly head. Aroma is of corn & mild hops. Thin mouth feel and a finish that makes my face pucker like those old bitter beer face commercials. No redeeming qualities other than I got it really cheap in a sampler pack. Metallic, sour. I’m pretty sure Grupo Modelo is Spanish for drain pour.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 OhioDad (2491) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - APR 24, 2005
Corona is bad enough why make it light?? Pours yellow with a white frothy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is really not favorable. It doesn’t have much and what it does stinks. The flavor is pretty flavorless too. Only buy this if you plan to wash down tacos. Other than that it is pretty bad. I’m glad I don’t go to Mexican parties every weekend.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 TURDFERGUSON (2482) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - MAY 12, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2007 Drank out of the bottle (does anyone pour this into a glass?). Obviously didnt put enough lime in this one. This tasted much worse than any corona I’ve ever had. But thats probably because its ’light.’ Was at my house for a college graduation party for my cousin, and my gramps and two uncles both grabbed these, so i decided to have one too in solidarity. Big mistake. I even had half a grolwer of Selin’s Grove Phoenix the Kriek in the fridge which my aunt really loved when we tried some later. My uncles didnt seem too interested in my beer/brewing aspirations. Anyway, corona light sucks.
Re-rate: Never thought I would do this, but I am re-rating Corona Light. Had another bottle with the same uncles as last night and it was quite refreshing on a hot summers day. Not tasty (by craft beer standards), but far better than the swill I have rated above this.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 jredmond (2471) - Manhattan, New York, USA - OCT 21, 2011
Had this several times throughout college, so you know what? I’m considering this to be part of a "back-log." This is one of those lagers that is a testament to marketing and distribution. Like its Corona Regular counterpart, this beer boasts a similar yellow golden body with thin white lacing. Aroma is offensive as is the flavor. Thin, watery palate.

As if the original wasn’t bad enough they have to outdo themselves...I’m sure this is for the small minority of people that like bland beer...and I hope their happy.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 SamGamgee (2451) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUL 31, 2009
12oz bottle. Clear yellow with a small and dying white head. Very faint indistinct sweetness in the aroma. Very watery and light, but with less bad flavor than regular Corona, i.e. no skunk or hops to speak of. Low in the bitterness, letting the little sweetness that remains dominate the palate with equal parts corn and seltzer water. No lime this time, but it definitely helped the times that I have had this before. Watery and fizzy, but that’s par right? For a beach session brew to impress your yuppie friends, this is not a bad choice. outrageously overpriced though. Sorority girls love this one, incase you were wondering.
