COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When naming this Baltic porter, a collaboration with Tampaís famed Cigar City Brewing, we opted for Jurata as a nod to a mythological mermaid known to roam the depths of the Baltic Sea, just as energetic yeast used to brew this deep dark beer navigated our fermentation tanks. Dive in and enjoy Jurataís true-to-style rich and complex flavors!

Bottle. Pours black with a thin off white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a bit of dark grains with light roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. Flavor combines chocolate and dark grains with a bit of bite from roasted malts in the finish.

Iíve been waiting forever to get my hands on any kind of Cigar City brew, even if it is a collab. Pours a dark brown with deep red hue, light brown head. Aroma is candied chocolate, licorice, roasted malts, and light alcohol. I just canít quit taking it in. I could drink it all as it evaporates through my nose. But on to the taste. Deep chocolate coffee roasted grains up front. Transitions to a bitter bite of hops and finishes thick and satisfying. Iím not a porter fan but Iím going back to the store to get more of these for winter. One of the best beers Iíve ever experienced. If this is anything close to what I can expect from Cigar City, I may just have to sell it all and move to Tampa.

Bomber. I think some fucken Florida dipass sent me this garbage. T. Hanks. And actually, this is secretly my favorite style because it usually exhibits cigarette butts and authentic bar ambience. I fucken chugged this bitch in a few minutes. It was good. Nice and chewy, it was good like unprotected sex with a $50 hooker.

Clear dark purple beer, creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, sugary, caramel, some vanilla, chocolate, bit of chlorine. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter touch, lots of caramel, sweet, chocolatey. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, hoppy, dark chocolate, bit grassy.

Beautiful porter. Roasty, but not too much. Slightly sweet, but not too much. Just a perfectly balanced beer; recommended!

Appearance: Black body with a very fluffy light tan head. It leaves good lacing on the glass. It is a very nice looking beer. Aroma: A faint acrid burnt smell but not unpleasant. Not a lot of nose on this beer. Taste: Wow itís hard to describe the combination of flavors...it probably doesnít make sense but it has a very keen taste. Itís like a balance of lofty roasted flavor against a caramel malty flavor resting on a knifeís edge. The roast flavor is more like a campfire the day after a camp-out as opposed to the blaze it was the night before. It lingers in the back edges of the palate and is not does not impose. There is this creeping sweetness of the caramel malt that slides in from time to time. Some earthy hop flavor and bitterness peaks through too. This beer is clean! Palate: Very crisp on the palate. It is a full bodied beer that jumps in to make an appearance and slides out gracefully, leaving a hint of bitterness at the back of the tongue. Overall: I really enjoyed this beer. It is an excellent Baltic Porter. I think the best concise way to describe it is that the beer is very full in flavor but cleans up after itself very quickly, which is one of the hallmarks I find in a good Baltic Porter. I would buy it again but unfortunately this is a collaboration beer and Iím not sure if it will be available again. Itís not a beer I would stockpile, but I am very glad that I bought it. Cheers!

Aroma is espresso, molasses, dark rich malts and chocolate. Taste is like the aromas. The rich and thick body is deep and is met with a pale dryness. Appearance is black with a beige head that retains fairly well.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a small head. Aroma is very rich with dark chocolate, vanilla, burnt sugar and bread. Flavour of bready malts, grassy bitterness, syrup, yeastiness, burnt sugar and salty licorice. Dark berries. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Heavy sweet and enjoyable.
