COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When naming this Baltic porter, a collaboration with Tampa’s famed Cigar City Brewing, we opted for Jurata as a nod to a mythological mermaid known to roam the depths of the Baltic Sea, just as energetic yeast used to brew this deep dark beer navigated our fermentation tanks. Dive in and enjoy Jurata’s true-to-style rich and complex flavors!

Aroma is espresso, molasses, dark rich malts and chocolate. Taste is like the aromas. The rich and thick body is deep and is met with a pale dryness. Appearance is black with a beige head that retains fairly well.

22 oz bottle. Courtesy of olio. Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny light tan head. Roasted malt, vanilla sweetness, Coke, mild bitterness and mild liquorice in the aroma. Feels like a balanced one. The flavour is mild roasted malt, Coke, mild bitterness and sweetness. A bit thin but tasty Porter.

Pretty nonplussed about this one, kind of a letdown. Two great breweries, one bland beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber pours with a nice dark body that supports a light mocha colored head. The aroma offers up grapes and prune like dark fruity esters as well as earthy chocolate and then a thin sweet molasses sensation at the end of the draw. The taste starts with sweet malts, some chocolate and then blueberry to dark grape like sweet dark fruity esters. It picks up earthy chocolate, chocolate milk mix and then some mild sweet molasses. Pretty nice stuff.

Bottle acquired from Peabody’s, Boone, NC. Scents of malt, some hops. Pours nearly black with nice thick foam with good lacing. Big taste of what one would expect in a big porter. The palate is reminded of what you just had. A very good colab brew.

650ml brown bottle. Dark brown, thin but creamy tan head, some lace rings. Nose has some chocolate, tobacco, berry/dark fruit. Flavours of dark chocolate, roast, dark fruit. Bitter dark chocolate at the end. Slightly thin bodied, alcohol stays hidden. Good baltic porter.
