Bottle from Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours orange copper with an attractive pink-tinged beige head and a floral citrus aroma. There is a perfumy caramel malt flavor with a moderately bitter hop finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this one on tap at The Local as a free pour from a nice bartender (just 2 oz.). Pours a golden orange with a bit of a pink hue, with a fluffy white head on top. Aroma is very floral, as expected, with hibiscus definitely there alongside some tropical fruits. Flavor is vegetal hops and a light hibiscus influence that makes this finish nicely clean. The hibiscus lingers on the palate and is rather refreshing. Light body and very easy drinking. Would go well on a hot summer day.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent copper with a foamy white head. Aroma is very citrus/floral. Hint of caramel. Med body or better. Flavor starts somewhat earthy, moves on to spicy, then maybe some citrus. I can imagine Hibiscus - cause there is a perfumey/floral note. Itís dry, bitter and a real mouth grabber. All this at only 4.9%? Mirabile dictu!

Tulip at Triangle Wine. Good aroma. Sweet. Citrusy. Grapefruit mainly. Little lemon orange too. Clean orangy brown color. Ok head. Spotty lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body creamy mouthfeel. Bitter sweet finish. Its fine. Good to try but not gonna make gk out and get a bunch of the bottles either...tick, tick, tick....

Copper, clear, thin white head. Aroma of big citrusy-fruity hops with floral notes. Flavor: lightly sweet caramel up front, fruity and floral notes, spicy bitterness late with a tannic quality b

Draft. Clear pale yellow pinkish color, with a thin head. Citrus, lightly floral, and fruit. Fairly watery. Not very interesting actually.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sample on draft at Coronado.
Was a lovely rose color and had a nice floral smell. Unfortunately the Hibiscus gave it a odd almost potpurri type flavor that was definitely not my cup of tea.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Color was a light brown hue with some tint of red while a thin fizzy head died out quickly. Aroma is bold with hops that suggest citrus fruit juice and flesh as well as a pungent whiff of sweet onion, but Iím not able to pick up any scents of the hibiscus flower though. However, in the drink I do find a strange earthy flavor that confuses me as fruity and at the same time tastes like wood with hints of sourness and bitter hops. Not that appetizing and reminded of a hybrid cross between an IPA and a minor tasting of Flemish sour ale.
