COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
CBC and our fellow islanders at Maui Brewing Co are bridging the distance from Hawaii to the mainland with big flavor, camaraderie, and generosity. This centennial, chinook, and nugget-stoked IPA, made floral with the addition of hibiscus flower, is the first of an annual series of collaborative beers benefiting local charities. This time around, a donation will be made to Beer for Boobs, a Susan G Komen 3-day team formed by San Diego company White Labs, who contributed the yeast for this brew. No matter which side of the Pacific you’re on, there’s no better reason to " Drink Pink!"

Fresh, crisp and floral. Pours a light red color with very little head. Smells fresh and piney - great hops. Taste is a combo of piney hops and hibiscus tea and it is delicious!!!! Finishes with an essence of guava and crisp hops. This is a surprisingly fantastic brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An affordable IPA with floral aspects caught my eye. The payoff was a solid beer that demonstrates the acumen of the average southern California brewery. I’d love to revisit the San Diego area and have a chance to try a few more of their beers on draft at the source.

Aroma / Appearance - A reddish brown core retains an inner warmth as the light filters through slowly. Rich ivory head collapses in the course of a few minutes to almost nothing. Fresh floral bouquets on display at the local florist pollinate the air with roses and resiny hops. The cool profile takes a while to fully open up almost like a spring bloom.

Flavor / Palate - Hibiscus and other floral aspects tickle the tongue. Floral laced iced tea sweeps to a soft bitter finish that bubbles with carbonation. Refreshing and pleasant, the total package contains many positive notes. Grab a fresh bomber and enjoy the hard work of several capable brewers.

Bomber from Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours deep coppery with ruby highlights and a 2-finger, frothy off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, black peppery spice, hibiscusy florals. Tastes hoppy, somewhat tart, floral, with notes of resin, pine, black pepper, and tropical citrus. Finishes bitter and floral and hoppy.

4oz on tap at Lucky’s in Dayton. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good thicker lace. Interesting seedy earthy kind of floral aroma, very big on that aspect. Pretty strange. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitterness, some grapefruit citrus. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp soft lighter carbonation. Slick texture, a little more drying in the finish. Kind of grassy, toasty and herbal. Not great. Really herbal.

Tap@bishops gamla. Red clear. Hay malty, strange perfumy notes. Sort of sour red berries. Dry bitter. Astringent. Red fruityness, but strange, and not that nice.

"Pinkish hue, little head. Pleasing floral aroma of hibiscus, citrus, hints of pine and honey. Body is a little light, but ok. Flavor not quite as cool as the aroma...it’s a session IPA for sure...but pleasant. "
