2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
22 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this is very green with hops. Some sweet, super sugary mandarin character is also present. Slight herbal character and a little ethanol as well. Mostly transprent golden-orange body with a medium, quickly dissipating whitish head present. Starts with a bit of a solventy flavor. Like industrial cleanser or something. Brash hop bitterness and astringency follow. Grapefruit prevails. Becomes very sweet and syrupy late. Finishes with burning ethanol and lingering hop bitterness. Not really my idea of an enjoyable beer.

Pours slightly hazy dark golden color with off white head. Big pine aroma with some citrus and biscuit malts. Bitter pine flavor with moderate sweetness and some citrus. Medium body with average carbonation and a slightly syrupy mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is big on tropical fruits with some pine and caramel. Taste is a tropical fruit and caramel malty sweetness with a pine hop bitterness. Very well balanced flavors and quite tasty, but the aroma is the best aspect of this brew. Highly recommended.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours golden amber with a creamy off-white head. Tropical fruits are wafting past me just from the pour. Deep inhale is more of the same plus a very light touch of cat pee. Full bodied. Creamy/foamy carb. Flavor is so complicated. Tropical fruit/floral/pine/citrus. Really good hop burn plus a little heat down low in the gullet. Finishes hoppy as all heck, with some nice caramel still detectable. Super delicious.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a deep amber with light head. Strong aroma of citrus hops. Almost bitter citrus flavor, but done very well. Hoppy to the point of the tongue almost wanting to curl - but again, done very well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is everything with this IPA. Over the top citrus aroma and flavor. Bitterness is right on for an IIPA. As good as the best IIPAs.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle - Huge aroma of grapefruit/pine and tropical fruit, well balanced against some nice sweet malts. Clear gold with a thin white head. Piney fresh hops, with a bit of an oily mouth feel. Really nice.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep orange with an amber hue. It took a few sips to acclimate my palate to the size of this brew. Concentrated aromas and flavors of orange citrus, sweet grapefruit, peach, tropical fruit and pine, with layers of honeyed florals. Full bodied, with a fairly big malt backbone. Solid bitterness. Lingering finish. Definitely a palate wrecker. Overall, a big West Coast DIPA in every way.. which possibly edges on a triple IPA. I think a lot if DIPA fans will enjoy this. Solid for size and fitting for an Anniversary Ale. Another solid seasonal from Coronado.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Poured a golden blonde liquid with thin topping of foam head. The aroma screams juicy green hops that have light citrus properties while also having a floral smell of pollen/flowers. The drink is mild with bitter hops and a rounded out malt profile. Nice anniversary ale. I saw this and the new Stone 17th anniversary on the shelf and I chose the Coronado 17 over the Stone 17.
