3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours opaque brown with a lingering tan head. Aroma is strong coffee and chocolate. Body is light to medium. Astringent coffee flavors donít have much malt or hop support. Finishes relatively dry. Needs more support but worth a try.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A black colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of coffee malt and dark fruits. The taste is a little watery, but there are fruits, with coffee notes. The aftertaste is a little sweet with a little bitter coffee

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Brew pub at Coronado. Dark brown in color with a light brown, milky head. Aroma was very roasted with a good amount of coffee; some meatiness to it as well. Flavor was similar; just too much coffee for me to really like to much. Must be a coffee lover for this one.

This coffee stout is very smooth and rich. The initial aroma and taste is pretty much amazing. Definitely a go-to stout!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Pours with a near black hued body with a lasting tan head that stays. Looks Espresso-ish. Aromas are of coffee, some coffee creamer, nutty, fudge, earthy, cola, sedated licorice notes. Roast isnít oppressive. Flavors are of lactose, bitter, lightly sour milk, coffee and light acidity. Nutty, anise, chocolate, mild roast. A touch lifeless for a beer that I was expecting to be coffee forward. Low carbonation, fuller bodied.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught Little dark beige rim; black beer. Coffee, parsley, but as usual, served too cold to get much. Coffee, quite some sweetness, diluted cacao, finish is thin, but has some walnut peel flavour. Surprisingly light body, nearly empty finish. Itís OK, but not giving anywhere a lasting impression.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served on tap at The Joint in OB. The appearance is a deep coffee brown. Not much head. The aromas are full of a medium dark roast coffee with some oatmeal and malts. The flavors pretty much follow the nose. Moderately acidic coffee, some slight fruitiness at times. Great malty backing that is a touch milder on the malt roast pushing the brew slightly towards a brown. Medium to slightly full body. Very tasty coffee brew.

Sampled July 29, 2011. Black on the pour with no head. Pungent, off-putting nose. Oddly sweet and bitter. Light body and weak finish. Iíve enjoyed others of theirs, but not this one.
