3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Coronado offers a decent after-dinner coffee stout with this one. Picking up many bitter and dry elements, but there is a light sourness lurking in the background. The coffee acidity breaks up the oily--and somewhat thin--texture.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rich coffee aroma. The taste is roasty and coffee without being owerwelming. A little one dimensional. The finish is a little bittersweet together with some burnt coffe.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice sweet chocolate malt with good fresh coffee grind, mocha, grassy hops, nice. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with good coffee notes, light chalky notes, nice.

Nice toasty, bitter coffee flavor. Pretty standard stout, nothing fantastic but still quality.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
A black body with a beige head, mild retention and a milder lacing. Aroma did have nice roasted malts upfront some coffee malts but they certainly took a back seat to the roasted malts. Some cocoa was present. Flavor had a nice sweet flavor upfront with hints of coffee. Kind of a watery mouth feel and it was slightly dry in the finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ The Rover. Pours cloudy blackish brown with a big frothy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is malty with roasted malts, sweetened dark roast coffee, dark bread, oatmeal cookies, bitter chocolate, caramel and hints of liquorice root. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, dark bread, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, caramel, charred wood, moist soil, sweet liquorice candy and hints of resin and ash. Mouthfeel is round, tiny roasted tart, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and malty with roasted malts, dark bread, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, oatmeal cookies, moist soil and wood. Solid stuff...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a black color from the bottle with aromas of coffee, grounds, light earth and some light herbs. Flavors are light coffee, subtle chocolate, light earth as well. Decent beer overall, but the coffee flavor seemed a little week compared to what I expected.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a small beige head, which does not last all that well, but does leave decent lacing. Bitter coffee mixes with herbal hops, nutty malt and a savoury, almost meaty aroma on the nose. Mild herbal hops lead into a savoury, slightly smoky mid-palate, with plenty of roasty, nutty and slightly dry coffee. The savoury feel persists, giving a bit of weight to the finish. This is much less sweet than most coffee stouts, but its drier feel actually works quite well with the coffee, creating a pleasant stout.
