650ml bomber from work (Coop). Lots of tropical citrusy hops on the nose (lime, mango, pine needles) erupting from this foaming amber pour. Sharp hoppy overtones of limey, mango sweetness pronounced into a firm piney, resinous bitterness, a super balanced, crisp finish. Fantastic.

Got 5 mins! Will demolish entire beer in the process. Kaffir lime leafs? Yes please. Dumped out a hazy gold with orange tinges, big stupid off white fluffy mound, considering drinking some of it out of my catís mouth. Dig this smell even though itís way off base... which is perfect. Kaffir is slaying it with near equal footing to the lemon and that damn zest fits in perfectly. This is pretty killer and finely crafted out. Incredibly fragrant with an unworldly sweet tie in. The Kaffir pulls this out of the "this smells like a beer" category. The taste is pretty much equal to the previous letters mushed into words by my sausagelike fingers of ice. Kaffir is strong, very very defined and wonderful. I love Kaffir leaves in food and rarely get to taste them. Finding the other stuff isnít super hard but takes some concentration. There be unsweetened grapefruit here that tags along right into the aftertaste of near mouth ruining bitterness, the lemon pokes in and out with great mystery, the zest is sneaking in the shadows. Softness in the mouth.. I like a beer that is gentle then treats me like its bitch. A unique brew. Ya. Good. Really good. Often one dimensional though. Ok, after considering my goopy Underroos Iíve revisited this seconds later and realized that Kaffir leaves should not rule the world but should smoke crack with Rob Ford. Hard on aside, this beer lacks complexity but if you like kaffir to the point of drilling holes in the leaves to satisfy a bizarre fetish then itís not a 4.1 as I calculated 3 mins ago. I canít stop thinking about Ferris... wtf?!?! Soon my love... soon.

Bottle - pine and lime, very pungent. Clear gold with a rich head. Lime and grapefruit are sweet and I think itís a bit flat. If it tasted as good as it looked or smelled we would have a winner. Unfortunately itís not the case.

It looks and smells delicious, but in the mouth the additional citrus flavourings seem to throw it out of balance.

The aroma is very happy and citrusy with lime and herbs. The appearance is golden with a large head and floaters. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Haket. Pours slightly clear golden with a small frothy white head that leaves a small lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is subtle, tiny sweet, tiny malty and tiny herbal with white bread, crackers, cereal, grass, lemon balm, wood, lemon zest, orange zest, soil and hints of butterscotch. Taste is slightly bitter and tiny malty with white bread, oatmeal cookies, grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon balm, lime zest, wood, cereals and hints of biscuits and green peas. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, white bread, biscuits, lemon zest, orange zest, lime zest, pine needles, grass, lemon balm and hints of butterscotch. Bit too harsh...

Extreme citrus and although not a typical ipa very drinkable and refreshing. So far my favorite from this brewer I did not like the islander ipa at all and the idiot was ok at best. Good sessionable ipa for sure. Different and enjoyable.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Damn this one is herbal and citric. Itís kind of like a half mohito, half IPA. A hoppy mohito. Very lime focused with light peppery spices. Solid and a good go at something different
