3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (8997) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 3, 2012
Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours hazy light amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is primarily resin. Med body. Flavor is like resin with some zest. I’m not sure citrus should count as spice - but? There’s a fair amount of floral to go with the resin. It’s quite bitter. Bitter like citrus rind in fact. Very different.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Nose and taste of lime, spicy hops, lemon and orange zest. Medium body.

light hazed apricot color with large bright white head, lacey too. Smells of nice IPA; which I find funny since there’s added lemon and orange here. Flavors are dry and almost unpalateably bitter. I don’t get this beer. Why would they add lemon and orange rind to make a beer that tastes like an ipa but is just astringently bitter?
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Blairgus (1753) - California, USA - JUL 27, 2012
27 July 2012, bottle. Bright yellow, clear, some sediment, some occasional bubbles. Nose is odd. Almost like mild ipa and Chinese spices. Thin body and fizzy. Really really odd. Harsh lemon rind and Chinese spices. Odd.

Draft from Blue Dog. Pours hazy dark straw with copper edges. Tastes hoppy, citric, with dry florals and spices. Nose is black peppery, citric, not as floral and dry as the taste.

Sample from Matt as he tapped the keg, pours a golden orange with insane lacing streaks. Aromas are lemon pledge, citrus, grapefruit, and light windex. Taste is very soft, but has a bitter ashy finish. Notes of tobacco, herbs, somewhat bland.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 acearl (343) - The Ham, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 2, 2012
On tap. Cloudy yellow hue. White head. Decent lacing. Smells of citrus, tart aftertaste could be from the lemon peel in the hopping. Overall nice and crisp. Maybe cheating with the lemon peel.
