CBCs overriding mission is to brew beers that are 100% true to our San Diego roots. Our spring seasonal, an unfiltered Belgian-style IPA, does so in spades thanks to aggressive West Coast hopping, while paying tasteful homage to Old World flavors and brewing traditions.

Clear golden with a generous foamy white head. Nice peppery and full nose with some sort of grassy hop note and some black peppercorn, orange zest, and belgianesque dustiness. Lovely flavor with some Belgian dusty biscuitiness, light black pepper notes, mild but lasting grassy and pine bitterness. Quite nice.

Hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is slightly soft with good minerally carbonation. Lightly skunky hops. Minerals. Mild Belgian yeast, a little salty. Good fruity contrast of peach and mango. Finishes fruity and fresh. Very drinkable. The whole 750 vanished in no time!

Nice DIPA, the belgo yeast is nicely balanced with the hops. Much more easy drinking than I was expecting.

Strong hoppy/resin aroma. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head. Taste is not real strong in any direction, but very well balanced and refreshing.

Bottle:   Dull hazy amber, moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Alcoholic floral and citrus notes up front.   A bit more subtle on the tongue, citrusy, some floral bits, moderately hopped.   Not a big IIPA, seems almost too soft.   If I had this blind I would say this was an IPA, no doubt about it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   IIPA, really?   what is the world coming to these days?   Moderate to bright hoppiness, a little citrus and pith.   This isnt a caustic overly hopped IIPA, nor a overly laden malty IIPA, its a damn IPA.   A moderate one at that too.   Very middle of the road as far as I can taste.   Average IPA, nothing else.
