COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
CBC’s overriding mission is to brew beers that are 100% true to our San Diego roots. Our spring seasonal, an unfiltered Belgian-style IPA, does so in spades thanks to aggressive West Coast hopping, while paying tasteful homage to Old World flavors and brewing traditions.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Hazy light orange with a thick frothy head that leaves sheets of lace. Interesting aroma, very complex, with some brothy qualities competing with a bit of citrus fruit and lots of spice. The palate delivers more fruit than the nose (kumquat), and oddly, cauliflower (a first ever for me), with a heap of spicy yeast. Finish is soundly bitter. Unusual, but in a welcome way for me.

Big hop single IPA. Earthy and maple like hop aroma, excellent and different at same time. Malt is slightly sweet but hops balance it out very nicely. Great carbonation to bring out hop aroma.

I am not sure why this scored out so low. The aroma was strong, fresh, and floral. Color was wonderfully light Amber. Taste was fruity, yet a bit bitter. Loved this beer and very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a lighter golden brown. earth, funky smell with piney under notes. Taste is not hoppy enough to compliment the underlying fruit. Overall ok beer, but have come to expect better from coronado

22 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet tropical fruit with some earthy funk.

The flavor is sweet bready malts, some fruit and some funk with a decent peppery bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.

Overall, a nice Belgian IPA. Heavy on the fruity hops with Belgian funk to complement.

It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus hoppiness with some pine and grains. The taste was of sweet juicy citrus with a sweet grain backbone and a bit of grass. Good stuff.

On tap at the Orange Street location. Pours yellowish copper solid bright white head and nice sticky lace. Aromas of citrus hops, Belgian yeast and light caramel. Floral hop bitterness with some mild grassiness, accompanied by a bready malt backbone. Medium body and carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a crisp bitter finish with lingering Belgian yeasts.

Outside of Belgian ipa needing its own style, isn’t 9% an imperial? Anyway, rather unassuming filtered golden color. The aroma is citric and piney. Little Belgian, but it’s there in the finish after a hoppy punch in the face. Lida chill for these days, but not bad
