Sample at the impromptu Kuhnhenn tasting on 01/17/2012: The beer is a slightly cloudy copper-orange color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops and sweet malt in the nose. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and notes of grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a decent lacing white head. Huge grapefruit aroma with a nice sense of hops. It just springs from that mirky beer. Very light and crisp for an imperial, but the ending punches you in the mouth. Dry finish, and definitely a beer that will catch up to you in the long run.
