4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
An amazing IPA with an incredible floral nose full of ROSE, which I found uncommon and very pleasant. Colour very beautiful, great taste with a perfectly balanced bitterness. Very, very, good!

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2015 Reviewed a while after consuming so vague memory tells me it was fair at best. I recall a charcoal taste and not much else.

Backlog. 12 oz bottle from Applejack. Orange appearance with a frothy white head. Grapefruit, floral notes, toasted grains and light herbs. Moderate hop bitterness and mild malty sweetness. Pretty solid.

coronĆ idiot bootle. aroma offers tropical fruit. oranges. tangerines. bit of caramel sweetness. bitter grapefruit and resin offered to the taste. bit too big and bitter for my liking. leaves sharp biting bitter on a pallet. bit of soapy grapefruit. super hooped up.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy amber pour with a 1 finger head that fades to a thick film. Aroma is candied oranges, grapefruit, herbs, and pineapple. Tastes like candied citrus mostly. Hints of pine and tropical fruit. Fruity finish. Medium body. This is a bit sweet for an IPA. Possibly an old bottle where the hops have faded. Still, it’s decent.

Overall good beer, great hop flavor when first when first opened then as it warms it gets more of a nutty flavor from the malts. Will definitely drink this again.

ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Depot on Whyte Ave in Edmonton. Golden, clean color with medium tan head. I don’t know, but I feel weed ;) in the aroma, and some citrus too, but it’s also kinda sweet. Also in taste, the first thing is some sweetness (but mild), and after that mostly grapefruit, but also a lot of nice hoppy bitter. There’s some kind of candy flavour mixed with mild bitterness in aftertaste. I think aromas are much nicer that the taste, which is more balanced, more mild. Aromas are much more punchy. And this weed... :P Nicely carbonated, very drinkable and interesting 8.5% beer. ///~~~///~~~/// ///~~~///~~~/// PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Depot w Edmonton. No i to zielsko... :P Przyjemnie nasycone, bardzo pijalne i interesujące 8.5% piwo.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow to light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, grapefruit, flowers).
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
The clear winner in a face-off with 3 other DIPAs (from Pikes Peak, Green Flash, and Ninkasi)...it’s still not great, but it wins mainly because it’s actually drinkable and pretty much without flaws. Not much aroma, but what’s there is as expected with no off notes. Clean/balanced finish makes it drinkable for its size...not as syrupy or abrasive as most.
