4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650ml dark brown bottle with mermaid themed artwork, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium sized beige head, that when reduced leaves uneven lacing. Aroma of lemon peels, orange, grapefruit and pine. A juicy taste of orange, lemon, grapefruit with a hint of caramel. Bitter with a slight sweetness. Medium carbonation and body with a bitter-sweet finish. For a 8.5% Imperial IPA, this beer is surprisingly easy to drink. Overall a great beer, but quite expensive here in Sweden.

floral and sweet grapefruit with alcohol and broom straw in the aroma is also pretty much what you get in the flavor. some bitter harshness balanced in the middle with perhaps a little too much broom at the same time. touch of caramel slick? power i.p.a. formulated light on the pine.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle served in a tulip. Pours deep copper with a slight haze. Large pillowy head with excellent retention and lace. Aromatic toffee / cereal malt and floral hopped nose. Light sweet, heavy cereal malt attack, followed closely by a dry, sustained bitterness. Medium-plus body, soft carbonation, thick texture. Solid IPA.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy deep golden, mid sized head. Rich grapefruity nose with a buttery backdrop and a whisper of alcohol. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Quite intense minty grapefruit, slight notes of syrup and caramel. Long bitter finish. Solid, but one-dimensional.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from box aroma, poured into a plastic cup. Looks like frothy urine. Smells like pee. Tastes like bitter malt water. Rusty trombones and Alabama hot pockets. Authentic.
