Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

Tried this at the Coronado brewpub while on vacation in San Diego. Fresh pine hop cone aroma and flavor. Itís hard to beat a freshly brewed well made IIPA from a brewpub, and this fits that profile to a T. Maybe a slightly biased review since I was craving this style, but this really hit the spot. The only detractor I noticed is that the ABV is slightly detectable, albeit nowhere near offputting levels.

Aroma is soapy, pine, some tropical fruit, and caramel/biscuit. Smells quite sweet, and moderately hoppy. I wouldnít necessarily call this something unbalanced, like how I usually like my DIPAs. Pours piss yellow with a small eggshell white head that rings the glass. Taste is surprisingly dry, tropical fruits, floral, biscuit, and strongly pine on the finish. Finish is slightly sweet, strongly bitter and dry. Woah. Completely unexpected from the aroma.

Orange-amber pour, with tons of floaty sediment, a pillowy eggshell head that leaves soapy lace. The nose is of spicy hops and grapefruit. Caramel, grapefruit, rind, peel, alcohol and a deeply bitter finish across the tongue. Full-bodied with a rich palate and complex mouthfeel, this is a very nice IIPA for any occasion.

Beautiful golden pour with small head. Overwhelming citrus and resin aroma. Amazingly balanced with lasting hoppy finish.

22oz bottle, highly recommended by Karl at Jubilation. Glassy amber liquid with two-finger head. Serious DIPA aroma... sweet citrus, tropical flowers, honey... intoxicating. Lurking under that sugary facade is a monstrous amount of hops bitterness. Wow. Resinous, potent, medicinal hops display a full spectrum of herbal flavors -- too intense for the tongue to absorb all at once. Sharp, mouth-numbing bitterness, yet the brew remains drinkable and gets better with each sip. After my first glass I actually feel stoned. This is a perfect example of why S. Cali continues to dominate the ever-growing IPA and DIPA market.

22 ounce thanks to Seth. Mildly sweet with apricot flavor. Hops are subdued and alcohol is not very intense; i.e., none of that boozy nose that some Double IPAs have. Nice.

I didnít get a lot of aroma off this golden orange/yellow brew, but the second it hits your tongue you know this is a serious IPA! Strong, tongue numbing pine and grapefruit bitterness mix with a surprising (and very nice) floral taste/aftertaste. Well balanced by a caramel/cereal malt body, this is a well constructed DIPA that is quite similar to another San Diego favorite, To The 9s Imperial IPA from Karl Strauss. At least I think it is, but Iím at the end of the bottle, so the Idiot might be kicking in....

Served on tap at Port OB. The appearance is a nice medium gold with a white head. Really nice medium bitterness to this ipa. A nice grapefruit zest. and floral notes. Nicely refreshing after a long day at work.

Tap at Paradiso Georgetown. Poured a clear amber/red with a thin to medium yellow head that leaves excellent sheety lace. Massive piney hop bomb with a slightly sweaty nose along with kumquats. Taste is massive piney hops, sweat, kumquat peel. Instant headache ensues.
