Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

Bottle. Pours a darker reddish color with a slightly off white tan head. Reminds me of a red ale in the appearance to be honest. Malty, Biscuity, and buttery in the aroma. Very little hop presence, where are they?! The hops that are present are that of pineapple and citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Alcohol shows as it warms in my mouth. Sweet up front flavors that transitions to a rind flavor bitter. The bitterness and booze showing is not the most appealing.

On tap at Rivertowne North Shore. super fruity hop aroma. Apricot and grapefruit with light woody resin notes. Orange blossom. sweet malt wiht light brown sugar. Big fresh hop nose. Medium golden amber clear, slight haze, with thin off-white lacing foamy head. Medium-heavy water body with medium heavy carbonation. Light alcohol warming. Starts with great malt sweetness, caramel. Orange blossom, honey, huge fruity hops. Cascade? Juicy and resinous. Beany sweet finish with medium bitter character, not harsh. Great balance to this one. Really nice IIPA, smooth and delicious. Big on flavor and aroma without being obnoxious on alcohol and bitterness.

On draft at the brewery. Deep golden hue with some white foam. Nice nose of citrus fruit. Moderate to full bodied and very smooth on your tongue. Alcohol not too prominent. Nice balance of bitter hops and honey like sweet maltiness. Good long bitter finish. Liked it quite a bit and pleasantly surprised.

LCBS 2010. This beer started off the event! Orange pour, whitish head. Pine, citrus, floral hops, some honey sweetness in the nose. Flavor is hops in the beginning, middle and end! Just enough malt to keep this one from being too crazy. Delicious.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2010 Bomber in tulip. Pours clear and golden with a hint of orange. Thick pillowing white head with great retention leaving nice lace. Big citrus nose: grapefruit, mango, orange with a hint of pine. Taste of citrus, malt, caramel and bread. Very well balanced. Not too sweet up front, not too bitter on the finish. A very fine DIPA.

Tried this at the Coronado brewpub while on vacation in San Diego. Fresh pine hop cone aroma and flavor. It’s hard to beat a freshly brewed well made IIPA from a brewpub, and this fits that profile to a T. Maybe a slightly biased review since I was craving this style, but this really hit the spot. The only detractor I noticed is that the ABV is slightly detectable, albeit nowhere near offputting levels.

Aroma is soapy, pine, some tropical fruit, and caramel/biscuit. Smells quite sweet, and moderately hoppy. I wouldn’t necessarily call this something unbalanced, like how I usually like my DIPAs. Pours piss yellow with a small eggshell white head that rings the glass. Taste is surprisingly dry, tropical fruits, floral, biscuit, and strongly pine on the finish. Finish is slightly sweet, strongly bitter and dry. Woah. Completely unexpected from the aroma.

Orange-amber pour, with tons of floaty sediment, a pillowy eggshell head that leaves soapy lace. The nose is of spicy hops and grapefruit. Caramel, grapefruit, rind, peel, alcohol and a deeply bitter finish across the tongue. Full-bodied with a rich palate and complex mouthfeel, this is a very nice IIPA for any occasion.
