Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation and quite a few floaties. Fantastic fresh hop aroma with elements of white grapefruit, cut grass, meyer lemon, gooseberry, and pine. Still pleanty hoppy and citrus-like in the mouth, but with an added clean pale malt component. Firm bitterness, and the malts are slightly chewier than expected. Very drinkable for the alcohol content. Very nice.

Huge thick creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Hazy golden color. Aroma of grapefruit, apricot, floral, grass, caramel, grain. Over the palate came almost herbal, grapefruit, sweet fruit mix. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering dry bitter finish.

22 oz bottle. Clear light amber gold with a khaki colored, creamy dense head. Fruity aroma of citrus and tropical fruit with some sugary caramel and flowers. Sweet caramel malt flavors with a medium hop bitterness, alcohol is well hidden. Medium body with average carbonation and a smooth, sweet mouth feel. Great IPAx2, bit on the sweet side for me but not too bad.

Hmmm...really want to like this, but 25% of the bomber is full of chunky yeast...maybe it was the handling (bought cold, shipped in luggage back to CO, and chilled again?). Unfiltered beers are cool, but....docked the Appearance and Overall ratings accordingly. Great beer otherwise. The bitterest of a half dozen selection of top SD brews. Terrific floral aromas, pretty golden orange, full bodied IPA with crisp grapefruit and caraway finish. Would love to try on tap sometime.

Draft. Copper body with a nice white head. The aroma is of juicy citrus hops. Even in the face of a bonfire I can smell its deliciousness. The flavor is juicy as well with a bit more resinous hop character than the nose with a medium dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall: a very solid fresh IPA that I would like to revisit.

Transparent, medium amber with a smallish off-white cap. The aroma is fresh and hoppy. Tangerines, pineapples, grass and a bit of caramel. The beer has a smooth caramel backbone with a fairly dry finish and quite a bit of bitterness. Very nice. Mouthfeel is smooth and hop-oily. This is a good to very good DIPA. The tropical notes make it somewhat memorable, but it’s not really enough of a hook to differentiate it entirely from the pack.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2011 Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours hazy dark golden/amber color with off white head. Aromas of citrus and pine with a hint of maltiness. Lots of pine hop flavor and bitterness. A little caramel and iced tea with some alcohol coming through. Medium body with average carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Decent. Thanks Craig.

Bottle at Bulldog World Beer & Food. Cloudy amber - white head. Orange. Citrus fruits. Cheese. Toasted. Fruity. Medium malty. Nice hoppy. Bitteeness. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a darker reddish color with a slightly off white tan head. Reminds me of a red ale in the appearance to be honest. Malty, Biscuity, and buttery in the aroma. Very little hop presence, where are they?! The hops that are present are that of pineapple and citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Alcohol shows as it warms in my mouth. Sweet up front flavors that transitions to a rind flavor bitter. The bitterness and booze showing is not the most appealing.

On tap at Rivertowne North Shore. super fruity hop aroma. Apricot and grapefruit with light woody resin notes. Orange blossom. sweet malt wiht light brown sugar. Big fresh hop nose. Medium golden amber clear, slight haze, with thin off-white lacing foamy head. Medium-heavy water body with medium heavy carbonation. Light alcohol warming. Starts with great malt sweetness, caramel. Orange blossom, honey, huge fruity hops. Cascade? Juicy and resinous. Beany sweet finish with medium bitter character, not harsh. Great balance to this one. Really nice IIPA, smooth and delicious. Big on flavor and aroma without being obnoxious on alcohol and bitterness.
