Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

On tap at the Tap Room. If you’re drinking beer anywhere else in Pacific Beach, you’re f*cking up. Aroma is all SD IPA...hops, florals, citrus, hops...love it. Palate shot is decent, but I’m spoiled here in San Diego. Flavor isn’t anything overcomplicated, just a nice hoppy IPA.

Aroma of orange jam,and perhaps old hops in caramel malting, Taste is a pleasant balance, more balanced then you would expect an Imperial IPA.,resiny hops at beginning, caramel sweetness in middle, bitterness in the finish, all straight forward, easy, drinking almost thirst quenching despite its big body,an IPA to indulge in only if your in the area

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2010 Copper color with a large head which dissoloved quickly. Lacing was light. Nose is oranges and pineapple with some sweet malts. Taste revealed a decent blanace of pine, citrus, and some sweet malt. Expected bitterness is not overwhelming. Mouthfeel is oily and earthy. Finish was a pleasant bitterness but a sweet aftertaste. There was medium carbonation. Some "floaties" which were confusing but did not interfere with my ability to down this very good beer. Had this again on draft at Pinocchio’s into a standard pint glass. Poured a orange-amber with a smallish head with some thin white lacing. Nose is citrus (grapefruit, orange, pineapple), pine and floral hops with some caramel. Taste igoes from sweet citrus and malt to dry and somewhat bitter. Seemed to have less hop influence than the nose suggested. Almost seems like there is tea there as well. Mouthfeel is medium and resinous, sticky and just a bit syrupy. Carbonation was average for the style. This was a little too cloying for me. Alcohol is well hidden.

Draft at Teresa’s. Pours a hazy golden with thick, bubbly white head. Aroma of hops, pine, vanilla, honey, soap suds, and hints of sweet malts. Full bodied with a juicy, moderately bitter palate. Slow, tangy finish. Excellent Imperial IPA.

On tap at coronado brew co. Lingering lacy head. Sufficient hop aroma. Floral hops abound up front, bitterness fades somewhat quickly for my taste. alcohol lingers on the back of your tongue. Overall a good dipa. Looking forward to the next pint.

22 oz bottle. Clear amber with a modest white head. Nose is orange, caramel and mild pine. Medium body with tongue tingling carb. Taste is buttery toffee, grapefruit zest and grass. Hints of peach and melon with a soapy bitter finish. Not quite a double for me.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity hoppy bitter greapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty and very bitter hoppy grapefruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish with a long aftertaste.

Location: On tap at the Brewbup, 1/6/10

Aroma: Hoppy nose, some orange/tangerine - citrus, pine, resin, mango, and caramel
Appearance: Clear caramel color with a frothy white head and lots of lace
Flavor: Taste is heavy hops, moderately sweet, but hop bitterness overpowers the sweet
Palate: Medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a long finish
Overall Impression: This was a pretty nice beer. A good hop forward, California style DIPA. Nicely made and enjoyable. Big flavor.
