the color was a strange mix of muddy brown, murky orange, and clear yellow.i got some head out of it with a bit of webbing.the aroma was of sticky green wet hops.the flavor was much of the same with a bit of earth thrown in.mouthfeel was on the light side.

Bomber form the Cellar at MCRD: Orange-amber color with a medium, fading off-white head. Aroma is mandarin orange and tropical fruit. Flavor is fruity and sweet with orange and soft caramel finishing semi-dry with a light grapefruit rind bitterness. Medium body is smooth and creamy with moderate carbonation.

Pours clear auburn with a stocky white head. Rich aroma of piney hops, grapefruit, and a bit of peaches. Oily mouthfeel. Tangy citrus flavors mix well with the resiny and peppery hops. Still that hint of peaches. Kind of makes it taste lighter than it is.

Bomber from BevMo. This bottle is 8.5% ABV. Mediun amber colors upon pouring. Looks rather slick and pours with no head. Aroma is rather sweet. Syrupy citric hoppy aromas. Flavor is quite hoppy and dry. Some peppery qualities. Somewhat lacking for the style.

Draft at brewery. Golden copper and very clear with thin white head. Lots of pine and citrus aromas. Very nice hoppy presence in the nose. The flavors did not let down either. Juicy citrus hops with grapefruit and orange. Some nice vanilla malts to go with it too. Pretty tasty.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2007 I recently had to re-rate this beer after seeing it in bottle at PP bottle shop. My first experience with this brew at Liars Club was disappointing, but out of the bottle was much better. Hazy dark orange, plenty of off-white head and serious lace. Bottle version smells of fruit cake, grapefruit, caramel crystal malts and hops. Extremely floral flavors of hops, orange peel, lots of pine sap and a slightly peppery finish. Goes down quite easy, with substantial bittering on the palate. Something must have spoiled with that draft version...

Growler courtesy of Naven. Pure, West Coast hoppiness. Awesome flavor of piney, flowery, resiny, spicey hops. Beautiful pour w/ great lacing. Thanks Dave.

Draft at the brewery. Nice and hoppy and easily quaffable. Did a nice job counteracting the Volcanic chicken strips of ultimate doom that came as an appetizer. Those things gave me the deuce cramps something powerful. Back to the beer... very fresh, lots of hop character and a crisp, clean finish. Easily the best Iíve had by CBC and itís nice to see them branching out a little.

On Tap @ CBC. This was quite a surprise. SUPER nice IIPA. Fresh, floral hop aroma. They must have dry hopped the hell out of this, because this smells like a fresh bag of hops. Flavor is heavy on the citrus and pine hops. I actually didnít detect any strong alcohol as others have mentioned. I was highly impressed by this beer. Coronado is really starting to step up their game.

On tap at Coronado. Clear golden amber with champagne bubbles and a small white ehad. Aroma of citrus and pine. Bright palate. Intense citrus and pine hoppy taste, but a disappointing finish.
