Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

22 oz. bottle via trade with michael-pollack- thanks again, Pollack! This one was a gusher upon opening and took a while to settle down. Pours a semi-cloudy orange-gold color with a massive eggshell white head. Aroma of caramel malts, herbal hops, tea, lemon citrus, and sugar. The flavor is pretty much spot on with the aroma. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Drinks more like an IPA with some body than a DIPA, as the bitterness factor is pretty low here. I’m glad this was nice and not showing infection despite gushing so much.

Bottle; Pour is dark copper - the head is basically white in color and it has an average retention in this tulip. Floral bouquet of hops is present, but this brew has a heavy caramel malt feel, as well. The caramel malt character is slightly heavier on the nose , than on the tastebuds. Anyway - Thank you to the guy at wallys for the recommendation.

Tap at Papago Scottsdale AZ. Bright gold and clear. Nose is piney, resiny hops. Taste is a bit perfumy, lots of hops and no malt presence at all. Thinnish body and one dimensional.

Strong floral, citrus, piney hops give this full bodied IPA a well rounded flavor. The bitterness is complex and backed up by malts. Alcohol is present but not overbearing. When I first laid eyes on a bottle I thought "Idiot IPA" is a gimmicky name. That may very well be, but this is an excellent 2XIPA!

WTF! surprise pint at Toronado! Recommended by one of the devine regulars this very very hoppy american IPA holds a punch that won’t be forgotten fast. Hefty steely hop power horse! Like!

Pours a clear orange golden with decent size white head. Aroma of Citrus, grapefruit, resinous, and slight caramel. Taste comes on very bitter and very sweet with a superb balance alcohol is well hidden. Palate is thick and syrupy and hop oily. Finish is clean with a none over powering lingering bitter.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Nice big citrus and malt on the nose. Smooth citrus comes through nicely. Long slow grapefruit finish. Slight touch of booze on the end. Really tasty.

Bottle pours orange with a white head. Aroma shows notes of sweaty hops, orange peel, toffee, and some subtle floral notes. Flavor shows additional notes of peach and grass. Overall body is moderate, somewhat sticky, and finishes with heavy bitterness.

bottle at home (19Jan11)pours gold with a tall frothy white head, laces well. Aroma is huge pineapple and citrus, like a tropical fruit cup. Really nice. Flavor is mildly sweet with dried tropical fruit flavors quickly turning dry with loads of pine and extremely bitter grass notes. Some faint booze in the finish, but it doesn’t hurt or help. I like it.

Tasted a bomber bottle. Pours an amber color with a very slight haze and a white head. Has a nice, resinous, piny hop aroma. Taste is citrusy at first, with a quickly developing herbal hop flavor and a bitterness that grows and lingers in the aftertaste. Body is on the average side, flirting with being too thin, I think. Overall, this is probably my favorite offering from Coronado Brewing...I think it’s a decent take on an IPA, and would definitely drink it again, but it’s a bit run-of-the-mill, and has an almost one-dimensional bitterness. Good, but could be more interesting.
