COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

Clear copper bronze with a frothy lacing white head. Big grapefruit juice hop nose has some soapy character. Starts lightly pale malty sweet and sugary with a big earthy citric soapy bittering hoppiness. Finishes drier, and very bitter with too much soapy character in the hops. Meh.

Sampled at Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours clear orange-gold with a medium, fizzy white to off-white head, some (little) retention with low lacing. Aroma is medium malt (grain, meal), heavy hops (citrus, pine, resin) with an earthy nose. Flavor is moderate hop bitterness with a good balancing malt sweetness, some alcohol. Medium-full bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry finish.

Keg at Euston Tap, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a decent off white head on top. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes malty, tropical fruit, hoppy, grapefruit and some bitterness. It was served too warm IMO and was certainly not what I expected. Need to have this again.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2010 22 oz bottle from CBX. Pours a deep amber with medium white head. Nice aroma of piney resin with a bit of citrus. Very crisp and refreshing first impression. Not my ideal flavoring of an IPA, but unusual and tasty. Bitter through and through, but could use something else to balance it out. Decent pop at the end.

On tap at Proof, poured as a sample, a great grapefruit hopped up pine aroma, I’m getting a bit of a metallic flavor out of it, almost gritty and overdone, nice, but not my cup of tea.

Bottle. Amber orange crystal clear with tan head. Citrus upfront aroma. Awesome bitterness. Lingers in the mouth for a while. I swear it turned cloudy after awhile. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy golden orange with foamy tan head. Aroma of caramel and floral hops. Taste is intense hops with a slightly unbalanced malt backbone of caramel. Thick mouthfeel with a wet and bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Pours a cloudy orange colour. The nose has sultanas with an earthy, malty background, The taste has initially some grapes going into apricots, then earthiness and spice - parsnip and beetroot come to mind. The palate is medium in structure, which continues through the texture and an extremely bitter finish. Overall, great for the hop-heads, but slightly too bitter for me to want more than one. It’s got a lot of taste going on, but that doesn’t mean it’s very tasty.

Tap at Papago Scottsdale AZ. Bright gold and clear. Nose is piney, resiny hops. Taste is a bit perfumy, lots of hops and no malt presence at all. Thinnish body and one dimensional.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2008 botte, at carolina crew get together, provided by afatty. Ok aroma, sweet, citrus, orange, a papery streak, hints of toffee. Pale golden orange color, big head and lacing. Bitter flavor, more of a grapefruit/lemon citrus. Lite creamy mouthfeel bitter sweet finish. Eh, didn’t do much to exciteme neither aroma or flavor had a strong point for me, just average ipa.
