Brewed with 8 different hops and dry hopped with whole cone Cascades. Its more powerful than our Islander IPA and even the most intelligent have become "idiot" after a few pints of this super hopped up beer!

650ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a large off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves decent lacing. Fruity hops notes of grapefruit, mango and pineapple mix with pine needles and caramel and white bread malt in the aroma. Powerful grapefruit hops up front segue into fruitier tropical flavours of pineapple and mango, with a touch of kiwifruit leading into the mid-palate. Supple salted caramel malt in the mid-palate provides some backing to the hops. Melon and mango hops come in at the finish, leaving a lingering mango aftertaste. The range and depth of tropical hops flavours in this beer is very enjoyable, and there is just enough malt backing to sustain them, making for a classy imperial IPA.

Clear orange beer, big creamy off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very resinous, malty, sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very bitter start, caramel, sweet malts, some alcohol, resinous, fruity, mango. Aftertaste: bitter, malty, caramel, sweet, very fruity, resinous, pineapple, very nice stuff! Liked the Islander better though!

Bottle. Tropical fruit aroma with grapefruit citrus and pine resiny flavors. Pours golden colored with a large, soapy white head with good retention and lacing. Starts with tropical fruit and some grapefruit citrus flavors and acidity. Finishes dry with harsh and astringent piney hop bitterness. Good to start but very harsh and not great on the finish.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit - piney hoppyness, light alcohol. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light - some caramel and light - some tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit - light piney hoppyness, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and fruitiness with some piney/grapefruit hoppyness, light - some alcohol. IIPA with too much caramel - too sweet for me. Could use more bitterness to balance caramel sweetness.

22 Fl OZ ($5.99 Bottle) thought I was going to get an IBU bomb but it was relatively easy going 78 IBUs is fairly good but feels far too little to call it "idiot IPA" I thought I was going to be like Lagunitas Hop Stoopid with a heavy IBU over 100. great beer don’t get me wrong but if you’re hunting a heavy hitter this isn’t it.
