Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

Taste has some fruity hops at the front, notes of grapefruit, malt is pretty dry. Finishes with grapefruit and a bit of resiny hops. Medium bitterness, a bit of alcohol at the end. Medium body, lots of carbonation. Decent.

On tap...it was an excellent substitute for the 60 minute that was tapped out shortly before I arrived! Paired well with chorizo. Slightly copper & cloudy...a pungent hop aroma mixed with a pleasant malt scent. Taste is similar to aroma with an added creamy palate. Spicy hop aftertaste and good light lacing. Yum

poured from bottle into the most expensive glasswear money can buy! Okay, this is a very good IPA in the "East Coast" tradition. Quite sweet, but nicely balanced. This is an easy drinker!

Meh... was hoping for something as good as Coronado’s Idiot IPA, but this falls woefully short. Pours a rich orange/copper color with a quick disappearing head. No lacing. Aroma is citrus, and initially smells really good, but as it lingers it almost has a fermented/spoiled smell that carries through in the flavor. Last 6pack if Islander I’ll be buying, unless they dramatically lower the price.

Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate with a little sting from some fine carbonation. Creamy malt base. Sweetish pale malt, prominent but dominant. Nice airy hops - pine with a little fresh orange. Mild bitterness and mild minerals. Fresh finish. Nicely joined up. Very drinkable.
