COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

.Pale brown, fresh fully head. Fresh cut grass on the nose. In the mouth it is full and syrupy, with an immediate sharp note of grapefruit and orange. Long lingering bitter aftertaste. A nice strong IPA; almost an IIPA with such a thick body and solid structure. Quite nice, indeed.

Sampled at the Tucson Fest. This is tasty. Big bitterness and citrus fruit. Malts are lighter. A strong ipa but not a complex one.

Nice traditional IPA with a good golden orange color and hoppy aroma. Nice taste of hops that was not as intense as stated.

Bit bottle split with Matt, plastic cup, Ke’e beach, Kaua’i, 22/08/12. Orange and creamy with an off white cap; few bits of sand. Peach and mandarin aroma; pine and olive soap, maybe rosemary, hay, some wafting greenery. Silky, herbal, sprucey and peachy; hops and pepper getting the better of (Crystal) malt. Decent but too peachy for me.

Poured this beer from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a semi-cloudy straw and amber color with a good-sized foamy white head with average lacing and cling and low retention. It had a sour citrus and floral hops aroma with some pine notes and lighter touches of fruit, grain, and spice. Its taste had a good bitter grain and citrus blend along with some lighter fruit and sour flavors. The body of the beer had good fizz and life with above-average carbonation, and was a touch dry with an average thickness and mouthfeel.

Nice label. Poured a brownish orange with a 30 second head. Honey and orange in the nose. Sweet tropical fruits and malt upfront with a weak backbone of hops flavors and bitterness. I experienced some oxidation. Didn’t care for this one.

Bottle bought at GBBF and consumed at home. Clear gold orange with lasting white head. American sweet IPA. Some orange fruit. Decent bitterness on the finish. Some oxidisation. Some resin. Yes, it’s fine. The fruit is good and the bitterness is good. There are other elements like the sweetness that I’m not sure I like.

Clear copper/orange with a small off white head that left a nice solid film and terrific lace. Citrusy - mostly tangerine - aroma with a strong sense of bready malt, accompanied by hints of pine and tropical fruits. Flavor is similar, witha sharp bitterness offset nicely by the bready malt sweetness. Nice bit of black pepper adds some spiciness. Medium to full body, creamy texture, modest carbonation, and a crisp bitter finish.

A hazed golden IPA with a thick off white head. In aroma, a pleasant pungent IPA with floral hops, nice and smooth. In mouth, light biscuit malt with floral hops, clover notes, roasted malt, nice. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 10 2012.
