3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Tadg’s. Very nice citrus nose--clean and fresh with lots of grapefruit and tropical fruits. Soft, fluffy mouth. Sweet flavor with mango, passionfruit, grapefruit. Only mildly bitter at first, then it kicks in a bit more later. Very drinkable with great aroma but too thick and syrupy so it becomes boring.

I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. Having had it several times over the past few years, I’ve noticed a big improvement recently. It pours a bright golden orange with a thick head with excellent retention. The floral and citrus hop aromas are inviting and lead to a clean citrus hop bitterness that’s nicely balanced by a soft malt character. This beer finishes crisp and dry, much like any good IPA from San Diego.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Amber orange pour, small white head. Crisp floral and citrus hop aroma. Tastes lightly sweet and caramelly but isn’t heavy on malts. There’s a sharp hit of floral and citurs hops with a touch of spice and a cedary resin finish. Paired great with pizza.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a short, dense cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up fresh, bright pine and peppery notes over a nondescript pale base.. warmth brought out juicy, exotic citrus fruits.. not bad. The flavor found pale and biscuity malts at the core.. very sharp and bitter around with notes of pine, peppery alcohol, and oxidation.. spicy and nearly unpleasant on the finish. Medium-bodied and sharp on the palate.. I didn’t like how this came together.

Pours orange copper with a foamy off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with serious piny hop bitterness. A good IPA.

Bottle. A descent IPA. Not very complex in the flavors. Its mostly resinous, but definitely not the worst IPA I have had. Sorry I don;t have more thorough notes... I’ve become a bit lazy these days. CHEERS!

Aroma of hops was nice but weak. Nice light white head. Pours a dark yellow, hazy with nice carbonation.I like the floral hoppiness, piney, estery taste. Good mouthfeel. Good bittering on the back side! A pretty good Beer!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. This IPA is smooth, lightly sweet and has an interesting hop presence. The beer pours a light-medium orange-amber with a nice off-white head. The aroma is grass, marijuana, tangerines and fresh hop flowers. Mouthfeel is very smooth with a dry/bitter finish. The taste is lightly sweet. Very good beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2011 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a mildly hazy orange color with a large orange-white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was strong floral, grapefruity and perfumey hops with bitter and dry undertones. The flavor was dryish , tart and bitter with strong notes of perfume, flowers and grapefruit and had undertones of bread and nut. The finish was long, dry and perfumey. Medium body. Ok.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured with a nice, foamy, frothy, very light tan head that lasted a while and good lacing. Color is a clear amber with bubble trails. Aroma is major grapefruit with lots of pine and a little other fruit along with malt. Flavor is like nose with the grapefruit/pine characteristics dominating all else. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor and fairly long. The grapefruit is not personally for me. Glad I tried it but I don’t want any more.
