Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

12 oz bottle pours a hazy golden with a sticky white head. That’s an ipa alright. Earthy, dank hops with a hint of sulfur, and a wisp of d, but also light citrus and some malty cereal notes. Light and fruity flavor. Medium-bodied, nice mouthfeel. Citrus bitterness stings the taste buds in a very pleasing way, and finishes light, bitter, and clean. Very nice.

Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 30.05.14. Pours a clear golden with an off-white head. Good lacing. Fat, pine hop aroma with malt in the background. A bit of an old hops/cheese note. Fruity and candy-like notes appear as it warms. Bitter (pine) hop flavour, a bit fat, grass note. The bitterness feels a bit unbalanced. Finish is bitter and dry with a mild alcohol burn. Notes of apple and grass lingering. Overall good, if a bit unbalanced on the bitterness. 13.06.13.

Flaske: Orange klar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er dejlig frisk af humle med en smule citrus. Tydelig vestkyst med en god maltbase. Frisk mundfylde med en blid brusende karbonering. Rigtig god øl-

Bottle. Pours golden with a medium white head. The aroma is highly spicy and hoppy with exotic fruity notes. The flavor is spiced and citric with peachy notes. Bitter hoppy finish. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours hazy, deep golden with a medium sized, off-white head, that leaves a good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and other citrus fruits, mango, caramel notes and pine. Slightly sweet flavor that ends dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied oily texture and soft carb. An enjoyable West Coast IPA.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Good, deep piney hop nose. Hazy straw color with a thick two-finger head. Very hoppy initial. Then moves on to a balance of grapefruit and a lighter topical fruit. Medium body. Very tasty. Hop-heavy stuff, to be sure. Good flavor changes from initial to mid palate. Final kind of hits bottom with a thud. Mld hop trace in finish. Not as over the top as many CA IPAs.

Pour is a slightly hazy straw/orange color with a fluffy off white head. Lots of piney hops up front on the nose, a bit of tropical fruit notes, citrus, and a nice kind of bready malt character. Lots of citrus on the taste, some piney hops and tropical fruit, and a hint of alcohol. Medium-light boried, well balanced but not as flavorful as I’d expect from a 7% west coast IPA.

Poured from a bottle, San Diego. Strong hoppy aroma, Unremarkable, fairly clear amber with a healthy, light head. Light on the palate, the alcohol isn’t very noticeable for a 7%er, but gives the drink good warmth. Very piney hoppiness. A good IPA, not a great depth of character however, a one-trick pony that does its job well as an IPA, isn’t an ’extreme’ IPA and is very drinkable. Solid beer.

355mL bottle. Pours light golden with a small soapy head and a light apricot like aroma. Heavy bitterness with resinous piney hop flavour. Average.
