COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

on tap at hashigo zake Big nose, lots of haybarn and wheat field hops - has that green taste - and grapefruit, I would even use coniferous hints to describe this. [] light golden yellow colour, biggish, fine textrured head and good lacing. [] Strongly bitter and slightly sour - a hint really - and given its roundedness it must have a touch of sweet and salt but they are not overt accents. [] carbonation is just short of sparkling but it works with a good hoppy beer, slightly astringent finish, and the bitterness lingers a bit. [] Good beer.

2/9/11. 12oz bottle. Orange jello pour with a small sticky off-white head that fades fast but laces quite a bit. Wonderfully huge citrus aroma loaded with orange and grapefruit followed by a big bite of chewy pine. Huge piney flavor backed again by lots of grapefruit, a hint of tropical fruits, and a solid bitter kick to polish this brew off. Really quite good!

22oz bottle, nice pour with a frithy and creamy head. the smell and taste are both nice and fruity, floral, pungent, excellent step down from the idiot iipa. nice profile, and a great malt balance that makes it very drinkable and has a very nice mouth feel and finish.

draft @ redlight redlight. Piney hops on the nose, resinous and spicy. Pours golden blonde with dense white head. Bitter pine notes with earthy bitterness, hop forward ipa, mild fruity notes in the finish with sticky hop flavor lingering. Excellent.

Bottle. Hazy, burnt orange with a medium white head. Fruity hops dominate the nose. Tons of rich fruit flavors, some orange, grapefruit, and a tough of bitter orange peel. Finishes warm and boozy, a bit of tangerine? Lingers too long, but otherwise an amazingly good IPA.

Taster at the brewpub. Orange c hop aroma. Lots of bubble gum amarillo hops in the flavor. Nice body. slight caramel malt with a grapefruit bitter finish. Runs the gamut of some of my favorite hop flavors.

Draught at Tadg’s. Very nice citrus nose--clean and fresh with lots of grapefruit and tropical fruits. Soft, fluffy mouth. Sweet flavor with mango, passionfruit, grapefruit. Only mildly bitter at first, then it kicks in a bit more later. Very drinkable with great aroma but too thick and syrupy so it becomes boring.

I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. Having had it several times over the past few years, I’ve noticed a big improvement recently. It pours a bright golden orange with a thick head with excellent retention. The floral and citrus hop aromas are inviting and lead to a clean citrus hop bitterness that’s nicely balanced by a soft malt character. This beer finishes crisp and dry, much like any good IPA from San Diego.

Draft. Amber orange pour, small white head. Crisp floral and citrus hop aroma. Tastes lightly sweet and caramelly but isn’t heavy on malts. There’s a sharp hit of floral and citurs hops with a touch of spice and a cedary resin finish. Paired great with pizza.
