COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

Bottle. Huge aroma! Sweet fruity scent with a citrus undertone. Pours a boorish yellowish amber but delivers a delightful palate pleaser on the fest sip. A pleasant blend of sweet mango and apricot blended with the citrus bitterness of the hops. The finish is not just hops but fruit as well. Yummy! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a lightly hazy golden-orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is huge fruity citrus ( particularly grapefruit) and pine. Flavor follows with a bitter citrus bite, some pine, a very moderate caramel sweetness. Relatively light bodied. Excellent.

Lager-kind of orange colored beer with a little white head. Faint fruity hoppy aromas. Taste is strongly bitter with little fruityness and a bit sour and licoricey salty dry finish. Body is medium thin and the finish medium long.

From 355 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas are quite light but I get some passionfruit, melon and white bread. Taste however is full on - piney hop bitterness up front, giving way to plenty of fruit flavours. Melon, pineapple, passionfruit, apple and lemon come through. Light-to-moderate body. Clean finish with lemon and spice in the aftertaste. Very nice.

On tap @ the brewpub in Coronado. Pours darkish golden orange with thin head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with thin hoppy undertones. Taste is big caramel malt, well balanced by mild bitterness and citrusy hops. Even at 7% abv, tastes bigger than it is. I’m working my way through Coronado’s IPAs, and their standard impresses.
