Bottle thanks to daknole. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, hop resins. Flavor of caramel malt, interesting hop resin notes, garlicky hops, citrus. A light sweetness in the flavor. Interesting IPA and definitely pretty tasty.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: On tap at the Brewbup, 1/6/10
Aroma: Fresh hops nose of peach, grapefruit, and citrus
Appearance: Clear golden-orange color with a thin off-white head
Flavor: Smooth fruity, hop flavor, juicy, with a nice hop bitterness
Palate: Light-medium body, dry finish, very smooth and drinkable
This is a pretty solid IPA. Simple and solid, it just works. Juicy and smooth with a nice hop flavor.
Randomly, I just noticed that this is my 100th IPA rating on RB.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared with MrBunn. Pours a semi-murky orangish-gold with ample foamy head that disperses quickly enough. Lots and lots of pine-sol pine hops are evident in the nose, with a touch of bitter grapefruit to join in. Taste is a smooth and mellow representation of the nose. Nicely done stuff. Wouldn’t want a growler-full, but I enjoyed half a bomber.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Pours a darkish orange with a small sudsy head and aromas of floral hops with a little bit of a citrus edge. Flavor is OK... maybe a little watery at times, but there is a nice caramel malt backbone with a resin and citrus hops presence that is consistent throughout the palate and bitter in the finish.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Slowly I have been getting into IPAs. I never really like them. I feel most beer brewers just add a crap load of hops for the bitter hell of it. Few take to the time to balance the brew. Islander IPA, to me, is very well balanced. Nice and bitter with a super supportive malt backing. Very clean pour with a well built creamy tan head. The smell is very nice. Lots of warm suger, orange, lemon, grass, and pine. Bitter and very rewarding going in leading to a smooth and dry finish. some sweetness with the bitterness. I found no sourness. Lacing is wonderfull. The whole glass is layered in a coating on bubbles.
I used to grab one of these while making a sixpack. Now I just get six packs of this.
Really enjoyable and SUPER drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks for sharing, bro! Pours a orange-red color with a medium off-white head which leaves lots of streaky lacing. Aroma is resinous earthy hops, light caramel malts, and light citrus. Taste is much the same. Reminds me of a an average run-of-the-mill IPA.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy rich amber color color with light medium white and light bits of particulate. Taste is bready malt, earthy resinous hops and a little bit of citrus. Has a bit of an alcohol mouthfeel and slight oily mouthfeel. Not overly thrilled with this one.

On cask at Friday the Firkenteenth at the Grey Lodge Pub. Transparent orange, gold with a lacing white head. Nice floral aroma, pine too. Flavor is very solid. Exactly what you expect from a West Coast IPA: grapefruit, pine, flowers, candy, caramel. Bitter but clean finish. Very drinkable and nice on cask.
