Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

Draft. Cloudy golden body with a frothy, white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus hops, orange, grapefruit, toasted grain with a hint of finger nail polish. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Aroma is a lot more complex than the flavor whose grapefruit bitterness overshadows other tastes. But at least it’s not a resin bomb.

Bottle at landmark. Pours hazy orange with a big white head. The aroma has a big citrus aroma with a good bit of floral notes. The taste is medium bitter with a light grapefruit sweetness to balance. The finish is dry with a lingering bitterness.

Bottle. NIce amber with rich white foam. Moderate fruity aroma. Complex hop flavour profile; fruit, medicinal, minty, pineapple, citrus. Light malt balances but lets the hops play. Seems to be a lot of different hops and a bubblegum note.

Beautiful cloudy orange color and small micro head. Grainy perfume pineapple. Makes me want to live on the island. Fresh flowers in beer. Earthy bitterness.

Enjoyed at the Burger Bar in Vegas. Pours a clear deep amber with a moderate frothy white foam. Aroma is big pine hop aroma with the sweetness of fruity malts. Taste is a soothing blast of pine and citrus hops with some resinous aspects. Sweetness from the malt comes in but does not balance this out.

650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that has decent retention and settles to leave some very nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit with some hints of pine and caramel. Taste is a bold grapefruit bitterness with some fruity and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with some generous carbonation giving rise to a marvelous sensation on the palate. This one is moving near the top of my IPA list. Definitely recommended.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle from Lizardville Rocky River. Looks like I’m in the minority on this, but this just isn’t my favorite take on the style. Maybe the bottle is too old or something, but the hops seem tired, and a cardboardy caramel is taking over. Not awful by any stretch, but I was expecting better than this based on the ratings.

A solid IPA with big bitterness. I would say that this perfectly summarizes a lighter Idiot IPA. Bright copper coloured body, foamy white head that leaves a few bands of lacing. The nose is floral with big citrus notes and mild piney resins. A mild sweet and caramelly with a mild floral hop and juicy grapefruit notes. A heavy bitterness on the finish with a lingering astringency. Overall, quite nice and well balanced for a big IPA.
