COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

Bottle at coopers . Nice cloudy pour with a nice big head. Aroma of dry hops and some grapefruit . Very dry and harsh . Tasted very fresh. One of the better ipas I have had in awhile.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy dark orange pour topped by a small, foamy off white colored head that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma is nice with fresh orange and grapefruit citrus hops with a nice malt profile of sweet toffee. The flavor follows suit with sharp bitterness from the orange and grapefruit citrus hops along with notes of pine resin and grassy hops. The bitterness is balanced out by the toffee malts, but the hops shine through brightly. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a lengthy bitter finish. This is a solid west coast ipa.

Bottle. Poured a nice amber orange color. With a little white head that went rather quick. Did leave some nice lacing on the side of the glass as it went. Left some floaters and had nice carbonation bubbles. Aroma was fresh cut grass, citrus, floral hops, and earthy aromas. Flavor was mild bitters, long finish. Medium body. High carbonation. Oily thick mouthfeel. Good IPA.

Draft at Teresa’s. Pours slightly clear orange with a thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma of pine, soap, hops, grass, and hints of lemon and anise. Body is medium but the palate is tight, very bitter, and a bit sticky. Finishes slowly, with a nice bitter bite. Very good IPA.

22oz bomber from once upon a vine southside. pours a light, yellow-gold with a thin, bubbly white head and light lacing. aroma is very nice with orange citrus, lemon peel, and light floral hops with hints of apricot, sugary malts, and grass. flavor is quite nice as well with a solid balance of citrus and sweet floral hops, a hint of pine, and a light, toasted malt back end. palate is medium bodied with mild bitterness and a light finish. overall, a solid IPA.

Bottle from Smith’s. Pours dark straw with 1F OWH. Nose is resiny hops, tropical, caramel malt. Tastes very resiny, hoppy, with a solid malt balance, a crisp finish, and a gigantic IBu value. Very, very good.

Tap at TJs. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium bubbly:creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of tropical fruits, mixed citrus and piney hops. Some caramel and bready malt in aroma and flavor. Hop bitterness is aggressive and flavor is lending to floral and piney hops.

This was a very good IPA, it was a nice surprise. Strong bitter hops flavor yet very well balanced with a really good mouthfeel. My first offering from Coronado and I liked it.
