Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

650ml brown bottle. Clear gold pour, dense white foam, good sticky lace. Nose has some resiny hops, some fruity hops and grapefruit notes. Taste has some fruity hops at the front, notes of grapefruit, malt is pretty dry. Finishes with grapefruit and a bit of resiny hops. Medium bitterness, a bit of alcohol at the end. Medium body, lots of carbonation. Decent.

Bomber. Hazy gold with a dense soapy white head. Aroma of pineapple, lemon, floral notes, and a hint of pine. Flavors of grapefruit, honey, melon, grass. Medium body, well-balanced. A bit of bitterness that stays for the aftertaste.

Can from Foodshow in Shibuya. Grapefruit forward nose with some light pine and biscuit malts. Well-balanced on the palate with a hint of malty sweetness and pithy, citrusy bitterness. Finish is balanced and leans a bit towards the sweet side. Nice, but simple IPA.

12 oz bottle. Just an average IPA all dressed up as something unique. Very skippable.

Bottle. Tarnished gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of apricot, over ripe mango, and a lot of pine resin. Loads of pine and sweet citrus in the moth, along with fairly sweet pale malt. Medium bodied, with a woody (but not harsh) bitterness. Heavier and less tropical than the name suggests.

@BKL; all in all so unbalanced and in some parts strange that I can imagine this to be a trade-route-victim. nose: cheesy hops, grassy/vegetal hops that might once have been more on the blackcurrant or apricot side; taste: citrus, pine, cheesy or at least pungent hops; finishes pleasant nevertheless with a surprising aftertaste of apricot in all the grapefruit peel.
