Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2013 355 ml brown bottle, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Appearance is cloudy golden with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and orange peels. Taste of grapefruit, lemon and orange peels, a hint of caramel. Light sweetness with a moderate bitterness. Medium-light body, slick texture, average carbonation. A juicy IPA with relatively low bitterness, pleasant and easy to drink.

Bella schiuma spumosa e vaporosa. Delicata a tutti i livelli: a naso e in bocca, senza dissonanze fastidiose. Aroma resinoso, evidenti i luppoli, dolcezza fruttata in bocca. Amaro che un po’ si nasconde per poi riapparire.

From 32GP. In Teku glass. Playing Broken Sword 5. BB date dec 2016. Very tropically fruity. Bitterness noticeably lower than expected for the style, but its stilly very tasty and that makes it dangeoursly drinkable

From a bottle to a 2016 New Belgium stem glass. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grassy hops, grains and malt. Flavors of rich malts, caramel malt, minerals, pine, grapefruit zest, honey, straw hops. Overall rich and flavorful for a robust IPA lover.

Poured a hazy golden colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that retained very well but laced poorly with a few spots. Carbonation moderate, soft and fine. Aroma all quite subtle with hints of stone fruit, citrus (grapefruit, orange) and malt. Taste with subtle sweetness, moderate malt (becomes more malty as warms), moderate pine, moderate grapefruit - all flavours are of similar and only of moderate intensity; moderate bitterness with, for an IPA, a low hops bite; alcohol well hidden. Light to medium body. Crisp, slightly dry and with a slightly fizzy mouthfeel with a slight to moderate grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Easy to drink as it more of a pale ale than a typical hops-driven IPA.

Bottle. It pours a golden orange color with a tall, frothy white head. Good staying power and lacing. The aroma is candied orange and grapefruit. Hints of flowers and honey. The flavor has some robust pine, orange and honey along with a good amount of toasted and caramel malt. Strong floral bitterness. The crystal and heavy bitterness kept me from enjoying this more.

Medium sized off-white head of varying sized bubbles and minimal carbonation. Grassy aroma with some corn, mild spicys saaz hops, smarties and mild malts. Color is a dark gold. A bit flat and lifeless in the mouth. More straw and grassy overtones with some dry, chalky grains, a bit of grapefruit pith and pine. Light alcohol presence and warming. Lingering dry and grainy bitterness. An ok IPA.

A very nice IPA. Tried with Rene at De Molen in 2016. Light and crisp but with a solid bready sweet base. Lots of citrus grapefruit, a bit of peach.

Draft @ Brouwcafe de Molen. Pours a hazy, slightly unclear orange beer with a big white head on top. Aroma is slightly herbal, grassy, hoppy, citrussy with grapefruit zest. Flavor is mildly bitter, citrussy and had subtle hints of some bittersweet spices. Some nutmeg or something. A bit weird, but certainly likeable.
