Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and lucioius notes of apricot, grapefruit, and mango that are sure to envoke imagery of swinging palms and sun-kissed shores.

A copper body with an off-white head that had good retention and nice lace. Aroma had a nice mix of resinous hops, mild grapefruit hops, and some nice fruity hops and a nice caramel malt. Flavor had a good balance. There was a nice sweet malt base. There was a nice hop presence. Nice bitter hops, a decent hint of tropical fruits and some grapefruit. A nice dry finish. Good mouth feel.

Bottled@sbwf14, courtesy of Rick from Coronado brewing Co. Thanks! Ambered colored beer, white head. Tropical fruity aroma, mango, pineapples, citrus. Surprisingly light for the abv. Really fruity, high drinkability. Bitter bity finish.

Amber, with a slight haze. Light mango and tropical fruit hop. Sweet pale malt shows through more than hop, though some hop fruitiness comes in the finish. Low bitterness. Light IPA, lighter than I was expecting or hoping, so a bit of a letdown.

Bottle at home. Pours an amber orange with a thick off white head. Aroma is pine resin with some maltiness and a slight floral finish. Flavor follows and is somewhat bitter, but not overly so. Very nice IPA.

Apricot...lots and lots of apricot. Lots of citrus but that apricot just shines through. Theres a nice malty sweetness that works perfectly with these hops and make this one super drinkable and insanely delicious. Cheers!

nose: dried mango and then some more, passionfruit less, apricot and apples and honey in the background. very faint acridity. palate: much less fruity than the nose. a bit thin but the carbonation and oiliness makes up the difference. mostly malty sweetness, slightly cloying. strong ripe fruit and bitterness in the midpalate that carries on to the finish. starts strong and gets boring pretty fast for me.
