Hazy amber color with small tan head. Hoppy, with bitter bready malts. Taste is dry, bready, hoppy-bitter. Smooth carbonation. Nice!

Aroma is biscuit, caramel and light earthy hopping. Appearance is dark copper clear with medium frothy tan head that lingers well. Taste is biscuit toffee, with almost a hint of roast. Earthiness from malts but also from aroma hopping. Crisp hop bitterness but a bit malt forward. Maybe a hint of citrus in there. Palate is medium full, smooth but crisp. Creaminess lingers with earthy hops, dark malt sweetness and a firm bitterness. Overall an excellent ESB, pretending to be an American Amber. Either way an enjoyable beer I would buy again.

Very flavorful. Almost a brown ale, with a nutty complex flavor. Had it on tap at Mavericks in Balboa

Nutty caramelized sugar aroma. It has a strong hop flavor upfront with develops into a smokey malt flavor on the back end.

@ Baden Baden. Dark brown color with a light beige head. aroma has notes of dry nuts with some toffee and light spices. Flavor is quite similar as aroma but spices are more present, caramelish notes. Light bittery final with nutty hints.

On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Nose is on the dry malty side, with toasted bread and feint dry caramel notes. Flavour is more balanced, bringing out toasted bready malt and a strong piney hop presence on the other side. Not the most interesting amber, but it’s well-balanced and clean. Solid but forgettable.

From a bomber. Pours clear copper with a creamy, bubbly off white head. Tastes like nutty malt, caramel, grapefruit, smooth citrus hops, mellow booze, and mellow citrus hops. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like nutty malt, musky grains, grapefruit, and citrus hops.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber. Aroma is cereal and caramel malts, faint toast, dark fruit notes, and soft chocolate. Flavor is complex malt profile that is mostly dry but does carry some subtle caramel sweetness balanced well by the back end hop bitterness. Medium body.
