3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
5.7%ABV. Amber ale.
Tapped out brown red. 18ºSRM.
Nose has some perfume and toasted nutty aromas. Like roasted chestnuts.
Mouthfeel is full and soapy. There are some nice toasted malt flavors with wheat toast, chestnuts and caramel. There is a candied peanut flavor that suggests like a peanut brittle. Hops are spicy with cilantro and Thai basil predominating. There may be some mild chili freshness to the finish as well. There is a spicy, rounded and aromatic middle-end to the palate that is like citrus peel or zest and fresh herbs which is faintly reminiscent of vietnamese cuisine.
Finish is brief-medium and primarily herbaceous.

12oz bottle. Filtered brown-amber bdoy. Doughy, mellow aroma. Leaning into Brown Ale, creamy, smooth malt tones. More balance and enjoyable than I had anticipated. Touches of vanilla. Caramel brown-sugar. Very well balanced. Very enjoyable for the style.
