3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is of caramel with a little grassy citrus in there. Pours a clear red amber color with decent white head. The taste is mostly balanced piney bitterness up front with some smooth sweetness on the end. It was light to medium bodied. Nothing really stood out to make it great but overall a good and smooth red ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at irreale, they assured me it was the US version. Dark Amber, creamy golden brown head. Roasted notes initially, coffee, light metallic herbs, grassy hops, a hint berries. Hard to pigeonhole, which is nice. Comes on as a Porter, looks like a Amber ale and finishes like a German pils. I am intrigued, chapeau!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear amber with a medium, off white head. The aroma is well balanced between malts and hops. It has caramel, toasted malt, herbal and floral hops, bread, and a little chocolate. Its kind of strange. The taste takes the side of more malty, with a strong nutty, caramel flavor throughout. This is complimented with minor impressions of pine, grapefruit, chocolate, herbal hops. There is a long aftertaste of nuts and caramel. Medium in body, I’d say and average texture, and definitely average in carbonation. Not for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a fairly clear, reddish amber hue, with a presentable layer of tan head froth, and nice cling to the dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was malty, with light toast, and a hint of caramel sweetness. The taste was similar notes, a little better than light bodied, with decent carbonation, and moderate, earthy hop bitterness. Basic, no frills example of the style, with good sessionablity.

Watery chemical tasting bland amber ale. Could do with more body, character and bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Caramel and malt dominant the nose. Dark amber pour with a gigantic head. Seems a little over carbonated. Taste is more caramel with some slight hop bitterness. Palate seems a little light for the color. Overall, a good amber but not one to seek out.
