Aroma is of caramel with a little grassy citrus in there. Pours a clear red amber color with decent white head. The taste is mostly balanced piney bitterness up front with some smooth sweetness on the end. It was light to medium bodied. Nothing really stood out to make it great but overall a good and smooth red ale.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market in Haverhill, MA. Aroma is strong citrus over floral hops on top of bready malt. Appearance is dark orange, reddish amber with slight haze, two finger-width frothy off-white head with no sparkle and soapy lacing. Taste is floral/citrusy initial sweetness that yields to a moderate malty toasted-roasty flavor that ends lightly burnt. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture and lively carbonation with fairly dry finish. Overall, there is fairly strong, balanced hop/malt balance here. Nice.

Bottle from Fyne Ales’ brewery tap. Clear auburn body with a thick beige head. Lively fizz. Good lacing. Aroma of strawberry, caramel and dried leaves. Flavour of candy, toffee, stewed tea and menthol. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. It’s very sweet but there are just about enough hops to provide the balance.

Part of a mix-a-six gift. 12 oz bottle out of fridge served in stemmed IPA glass. Minor head fades moderately quickly.Head is off white in color, beer is amber in color. Aroma has cascade hops and some lighter caramel or chocolate notes. Taste is light to medium bitter with maybe a touch of sweetness. Moderately hoppy with a light smoother finish. Faint notes of chocolate. Lighter bodied beer with average carbonation. Overall a good ale. Little different and ejoyable
