3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves decent lacing. Floral and spicy hops, biscuit and roasted malt notes make up the aroma. Peppery, spicy hops up front lead into a touch of caramel malt. Smooth toffee and more robust roasted malt in the mid-palate give it a full-bodied feel, with floral hops joining the sweeter malt flavours in the finish. This is a pleasant ale, with enough robust malt body to support its hops.

Watery chemical tasting bland amber ale. Could do with more body, character and bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Caramel and malt dominant the nose. Dark amber pour with a gigantic head. Seems a little over carbonated. Taste is more caramel with some slight hop bitterness. Palate seems a little light for the color. Overall, a good amber but not one to seek out.

Very good 'drinking beer'. Nicely red/ golden. Nice fruitiness up front (mostly crisp apple) but finished with a perfect caramel. The starting and finishing flavours go so well together, it draws you in for another sip as the caramel lingers beautifully. This is an anytime beer.

Bottled. Tan head is thin and slightly lacy. Deep amber color. Creamy caramel aroma with light toasted malts, some dried apricot, hint of raisins. Hops are slightly floral and resiny, a hint of grass. Round caramel flavor but not sweet, finish is surprisingly toasty, some molasses. Round bitterness, lingering finish. Medium body, smooth and rounded caramel malty texture.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. It poured a reddish/amber color with a small white head. The aroma was of toasted malts, grassy hops and some toffee. The taste was similar to the aroma with some hoppiness. Decent.
