4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I actually thought this was a much better beer than the islander IPA, not sure why this scored so much lower. Pours nice dark red with a white head. Aromas of citrus Cascade hops, crystal malt and roast. Flavor is full and complex with hints of roast and chocolate coming through at the end. Well hopped all the way though with a long clinging finish. One of the best examples of a West Coast American Amber I have ever tasted. Worth the $11.99/6pack price. In stock now at Hops & Vines in Asheville.

12oz bottle. Filtered brown-amber bdoy. Doughy, mellow aroma. Leaning into Brown Ale, creamy, smooth malt tones. More balance and enjoyable than I had anticipated. Touches of vanilla. Caramel brown-sugar. Very well balanced. Very enjoyable for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper looks, good head. Amber and resin malts, cookie like sweetness. Light palate but very tasty, some floral and herbal hops. Very drinkable, soft bitter for the style. Bit totally clean, which I like. (33cl bottle from SpeciaalBierPakket Leiden)
