I actually thought this was a much better beer than the islander IPA, not sure why this scored so much lower. Pours nice dark red with a white head. Aromas of citrus Cascade hops, crystal malt and roast. Flavor is full and complex with hints of roast and chocolate coming through at the end. Well hopped all the way though with a long clinging finish. One of the best examples of a West Coast American Amber I have ever tasted. Worth the $11.99/6pack price. In stock now at Hops & Vines in Asheville.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head with little retention recedes to sicken surface. Caramel aromas. Dry with bitter earth and sweet caramel front to back. Lasting toasted sourdough finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with long lasting, foamy off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrucy hops, caramel malt and some fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops, caramel malt, some chocolate and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Tasty brew.

Red copper, good head. ARoma was dirty at first then kinda nutty earthy dirty chocolate. slight roast and bittersweet caramel malt. Although cascade was lacking aroma, it was in flavor and bitter, a decent amber. Hints of spice. And a refreshing surprise for a cooler summer ending night. Very enjoyable, would like to try their other stuff soon.
