Brown red color. Thin tan head with good lacing and retention. Aroma was very malty with some brown sugar and raisin, also a hint of nuttiness. Flavor leans to the sweet side with some traces of toffee, a bit of tea, some nectarine fruity sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and fresh. A good red.

Clear red with thin head. Aroma of malts and syrupy red fruit. Flavour has sweetness of red fruit jam and toasted malts. Fairly thin bodied.

Aroma is clove, honey, a slight earthiness and roasted malts. Taste is sweet roasty malts balanced fairly well with a fair bit of bitterness that has Clive and a slight bitterness. Appearance is a clear brown with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

typical enough well made amber with a few improvements in flavor and body.body is a little refined and easy on the palate and not so scratchy and evolving in body. flavor is enhanced with a bit of clove and a touch of cocoa that is barely noticeable. the floral hop character is a nice touch as well.

Pours Amber with off-white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with nutty malts and honeysuckle. Flavor is surprisingly smoky with a nice fruity balance. Similar feel to fat tire but with a little more character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hoppy smell, with very slight dark malt smell, malty hoppy and toasty taste...interesting and complex...very nice! Unique...starts malty the changes to hops quickly and then the toastyness...awesome! Hops change profile towards hoppiness over time:( takes away from the depth

Hazy amber color with small tan head. Hoppy, with bitter bready malts. Taste is dry, bready, hoppy-bitter. Smooth carbonation. Nice!

Aroma is biscuit, caramel and light earthy hopping. Appearance is dark copper clear with medium frothy tan head that lingers well. Taste is biscuit toffee, with almost a hint of roast. Earthiness from malts but also from aroma hopping. Crisp hop bitterness but a bit malt forward. Maybe a hint of citrus in there. Palate is medium full, smooth but crisp. Creaminess lingers with earthy hops, dark malt sweetness and a firm bitterness. Overall an excellent ESB, pretending to be an American Amber. Either way an enjoyable beer I would buy again.
