Our spiced California style Wit is both refreshing and complex. Brewed with wheat, coriander, California orange peel and local orange blossom honey. From the first sip to the last you’ll find subtle flavors of bread, spice, citrus and a thirst quenching orange honey finish.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating but was recently released in the state. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, light clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready/honey malt, spice, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, light clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and robustness of spice, yeast ester, and bready/honey malt sweetness; with decent complexity and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with smooth, moderately creamy, and slightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good witbier. Good robustness and balance of yeast ester, spices, and bready/honey malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle. Bright orange color, decent enough head & ok lacing. Nice aroma, definitely orange. Nice honey flavor mixed w/ wheat, and fun. I’d drink think this if I were a merman. F you! Whatever, it’s good stuff regardless if you have fins or feet.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a white head. Yeast, fruit, wheat, coriander, spice and malt aroma. Orange, wheat, yeast, coriander, spices, fruit and malt flavors. Light body and average carbonation. Coriander, wheat and orange finish. Not really big on this style but this one is decent.

Cloudy straw color which I liked. Spice, not citrus, dominates aroma and taste. Better witbiers available.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Pepper and citrus notes but overall a bit bland. OK for the style I guess. Meh

Clear golden coloured body with a very light orange glow and a very thin, soapy white head - not too great looking. Aroma of oranges, curacao (just the peel), lemons, wheat and a bit of yeast - not too much going on, but definitely the citrus comes through. Medium-bodied; Assertive curacao notes up front with the strength of full oranges and a bigger malt than expected coupled with some more floral and herbal flavours as well. Aftertaste shows a big reliance on the orange and curacao flavours, but some deeper wheat, yeast and even bready malt shows through. Overall, a nice, if not light orange flavoured wit with some good flavours and pungency throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 04-May-2014 for US$2.29 sampled at home in Washington on 17-May-2014.

Poured from 355mL bottle. Hazy golden yellow with minimal white head. Aroma has a mild yeasty malt with a subtle hint of orange. Flavour is the same, quite muted overall. Not a lot going on here.

Pours a clear light amber. Not a lot of aroma, grain and yeast. The taste has a nice sweetness with the honey and a hint of orange. Nicely balanced and quite dry. A very nice warm weather beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
