On tap at brewpub named Nuclear Nimitz. Reddish with a decent enough head after I pour it into another pint glass. Unfortunatly the flavor has a burnt caramel thing going on and not in a good way. Hoppy with some cinnamon.

Draft at brewery. Nice aromas of hops and toast. Flavors fell off a bit as it seemed a bit watered down. Some more toastiness in the flavor and a decent hop bite. OK

Drafted at CBC under the name Reagan Rye. This beer had a slight rye to the nose, and tasted a little like the seed as well. Smooth and easy to drink.

On tap @ Coronado. Waitress called this one the ’Ronald Regan’ Rye. I assume it is the same one. Poured a Medium, hazy yellow with a small white head. You can taste and smell the rye. Light stirus as well.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 unclebleen (620) - California, USA - JAN 3, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2004 Had at the brewpub. I think they renamed this to "Riptide Rye" but I rated it here as this is already in the RB database. Poured a clear red/amber color and a nice medium rocky head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy with some rye detected. The flavor is quite pleasant. The rye flavor is barely detectable but adds a subtle but interesting taste. Medium body with a fair amount of alcohol noticable on the swallow. A decent beer.
