3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. ABV at 8.5%. Golden amber with a short white head. Strong floral hops, spicy hops and citrus in the nose. Lots of floral hops, pine, citrus, spicy hops and hop resins on the tongue with soft malt and caramel as well. Body is medium with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more floral hops, spicy hops, hop oils, citrus fruit , toasted malt and light caramel. Nice!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Very hazy golden-amber, like pale barley tea. Half a finger of fuzzy white head has decent staying power. Juicy nose! Guava, grass, mango, orange peel. Background of honey biscuits. Same tropical fruit flavors pop up in the flavor as well -- mango, guava, fresh-cut grass, citrus peel. Resinous hoppiness, juicy alcohol, earthy honey, floral orange blossom, lavender. Pine needles. A touch of amber biscuits in the finish. The body is lighter than you’d expect for this flavor -- a fluffy medium-light with spicy alcohol and mild carbonation. A nice, juicy hop flavor with very little malt to back it up.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
4oz on tap at Brass Tap - U Square. Strange herbal character to this. Bready malt. Some mustiness, little caramel. Over ripe fruit. Moderate-plus sweet taste, lighter to moderate bitter. White raisin. Very mild bit of nice pine in there somewhere. Not very appealing overall. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head. Leaves good webs of lace. Medium to bigger body. Kind of slick texture. Lighter carbonation. Not a good DIPA. Gross kind of vegetabley off-putting musty sweet bready malt really brings it down. Old keg ?

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the "Ten Beers You Haven’t Had" Beer Tasting & Movie at Studio 35 during CCBW on 05/03/2015: Clear orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, hops and grainy malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of tropical fruits, herbal hops and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Among the already stated aromas of citrus, pine, grassy herbalness etc etc, I also got quite a whiff of some kind of smokiness and cured meat. This carried through to the taste with a slight taste of spring onion root boiled into a medicinal liquor that my mother-in-law makes. But don’t let that put you off, it’s still a fine beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served showing a clear & bright, golden tone, with good persistence to the frothy, off white layer of head foam, and mega-cling to the doily-like lacing. The nose was expressive citrus as tangerine & ruby grapefruit, mango & tropical notes, with some light resin on the back. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste showed less estery impact, and more dank & resinous expression, with medium hop bitterness that had a lingering, citrus & rind-like nature to it. An appropriate amount of maltiness smoothed any of the rough edges. Not a huge DIPA presence, with a bit of noticeable warmth, but especially appreciated the even-keeled, clean & crisp character.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, peach, melon, tangeine and pink grapefruit. Plate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry fnish. Flavors of bread, peach, pink grapefruit and tangeine with smooth dry moderately bitter lingering fruty finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It seems pale gold in colour with some white head and excellent clarity. There is a quality of gooseberry and herbaceous hoppiness to this beer, along with lime leaf and chlorophyll-led grassiness. The flavour is a magnified exemplar of the aromas with a good twinge of herbal bitterness. It is cool, clean and masks its alcohol wonderfully well. Greener than I was expecting, but a lovely brew.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/23/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light honey, cracker, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light honey, cracker, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange zest, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness, complexity, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear amber pour with a 1 finger head that fades very slowly to a nice film with a thick ring. Great lacing too. Not much to the aroma really. Some sweet malt, honey, citrus, and light pine. Tastes great though. A tab sweet but it seems to work for this one. Tons of citrus, some honey and pine, and a light bitter and grassy finish. Ultra smooth and easy to drink. Love this. Wish the aroma was a bit better but oh well.
